  • Stylish and sporty
Size: 11 Color: Lunar Rock/Alloy
Very comfortable and stylish shoes! The sizes run a little smaller than other brands so take that in to co sideration. Seem to be well made and breathable

  • Outstandingly comfortable and all-around shoe
I have the previous version of this shoe as well. Both run small in size. Get a 1/2 size bigger than you normally would. The HFS II is very different from the original. Do *NOT* think this is an upgraded or improved or better shoe than the original. It's night and day. The original is an outstanding BAREFOOT running shoe with a very thin sole through which your feet can actually feel the surface of the ground. I love running in those shoes but they are tiresome walking around in all day for hiking or city walking. The opposite is true with the HFS II. The sole is clearly stiffer, possibly slightly thicker too. It's an awesome shoe for the whole day for minor hiking, city walking, going to work or going out. It's also dressy enough to use for social events. But for running, it's a big NO for me because there's no barefoot feel to them. IMO... ... show more

  • A game changer
Size: 10.5 Color: Black/Asphalt
These shoes not only fit your feet in an organic way, they last as advertised. I’ve had these shoes going on two years, have put almost 2000 pavement covered miles on them and the soles are still in good shape. As could be expected, the uppers are fairly warn and that’s okay. I would have eaten through four pair of any other running shoe and am looking forward to replacing these with the same shoe in their new brown leather. ... show more

  • Phenomenal Design, Defective FW25 Batch, and a Warning on the Support Gap Phenomenal Design, Defective FW25 Batch, and a Warning on the Support Gap
Size: 9 Color: Blue Iolite/Aquarius Gradient
Great shoe mechanically, but avoid the FW25 production run. The Performance (The Good): Mechanically, the HFS II is an incredible minimalist running shoe. The ground feel, wide toe box, and lightweight chassis are exactly what you want if you are committed to natural movement. The upper mesh and overall comfort are top-tier, which is why I actually keep a second pair in my rotation. The Failure (The Bad): Unfortunately, the material engineering on this specific production run (Batch Code: FW25) failed catastrophically. After only 71 days of standard pavement use, both the left and right outsoles suffered identical, bilateral structural breaches—literally wearing a clean hole straight through the rubber compound into the footbed. What makes this a clear manufacturing defect (and not standard wear) is the lack of uniform degradation. The perimeter lugs and the upper chassis are in near-pristine condition, meaning the center of the heel simply lacked the density or proper durometer rating to withstand normal force cycles. The Warranty Catch (The Warning): Be aware that the manufacturer's extended 24-month defect warranty and 5,000-mile sole guarantee are heavily dependent on purchase channel architecture. If you purchase items through independent third-party listings rather than direct fulfillment channels, you will be locked out of direct manufacturer warranty support. If you choose to buy the HFS II, inspect the tongue tag to ensure you didn't get the FW25 run, and ensure your acquisition pipeline lines up with a channel that offers full warranty lifecycle support when the rubber fails to meet specifications. ... show more

  • Great shoe, slightly skinny for wide toe box
Size: 10 Color: White
I typically wear a 9.5 EE, I bought the HFS IIs in size 10. The length is good but they’re still a bit tight width wise for a brand that advertises a “wide toe box”. Still a great pair of shoes though just keep the sizing in mind.

  • Worth it
Size: 8 Color: Vintage Indigo/Red
I love these shoes! So light weight and comfortable I’ve been using it to the gym for running and lifting weights

  • surprisingly good shoe.
Size: 11.5 Color: Black/Asphalt
I wear 11.5's, not the biggest shoe but carrying full size shoes in my backpack takes a lot of space but I still wanted some lifting shoes for the gym instead of my work boots / sneakers so I settled on these... The big surprise was realizing these were straight up so comfortable AS IS I just wear these everywhere now. They are my walking / hiking / everything shoes now (except work). Really nice shoes, the price seems right as well I don't feel like I'm over paying but also don't feel like it's a huge bargain either - it's just right. Can't say much about durability that takes months to figure out... they are very thin so time will tell if I walk right through them but for now I'm so impressed. ... show more

  • best allround barefoot shoe
I love these shoes so much I bought a pair for work and a play/excercise pair. They fit perfect, decent toe box, zero drop and they do give you a barefoot feel on trails and comfy on pavement. Im new to the barefoot scene so they do make my feet a little sore at work cause im concrete all day so I got a pair of lems which have a thicker sole just for work. But for trails and exercise these are my go to's ... show more
