The media could not be loaded. My children and I happened upon a battling tops event at our local library a few weeks ago. We were there to pick up some books, and there was a kids' event taking place when we walked in. I had no idea what these tops were, but my son seemed familiar with them. They had little battle arenas set up around the room, and the kids were going from one to the other, pitting their tops and skills against the other kids. My son jumped right in and started having a blast. Since he liked it so much, I decided to get a set for my children. So I am reviewing these from the point of view of a total novice. But speaking as a novice, these are so much fun! They were easy to assemble--the instructions were pretty easy to follow. And we had these up and running in just a few minutes. The battle arena in my video isn't included with the set. It doesn't come with an arena, but you don't need one. The tops will spin on any relatively smooth surface, and you can make a basic battle arena out of a cardboard box. I got these for my kids, but the adults in the family couldn't help but join in on the fun. And now we can't stop playing. We're starting to learn and understand the different strategies that help you win, like pulling the plastic "string" at just the right speed. And launching the top at just the right angle. We're discovering all kinds of new things every time we play. Basically, you just need to be the last top spinning, and you win! These tops feel nicely heavy, and very sturdy. They are designed to burst apart when they collide with other tops. And then you put them back together and go again. It is seriously so much fun. And these tops are so colorful! The pieces mix and match with each other, which allows us to play with the designs. It's just another touch that adds to the fun. We are having a great time with our battling tops. I like them a lot, and I would recommend them.

The media could not be loaded. My son loves this! These are heavy duty tops. Easy to put together, and easy enough to wind up and play. My 5 year old son loves this, but there are a few details that should be noted and considered. The tip of each top is different. I’m not sure if this is intentional, but if the purpose of this is to race/battle to see which lasts the longest spinning…they are each different, so a bit unfair. Also, we make sure these are in a contained and safe area. The tops get pretty violent when the hit and shoot off to hit whatever is in the way…it hurts if you manage to get hit. I recommend this but only if your kids are responsible enough to deal with something that can be dangerous

My kids are obsessed with this battling tops set! Everything is sturdy, colorful, and spins really well. The arena, launchers, and tops were easy to assemble, and the burst battles add so much excitement. The media could not be loaded. This was my first experience with these battling tops after seeing a couple of the kids in the neighborhood play with them. Of course, my kid absolutely HAD to have to her own set to battle. We've been having a ton of fun with these so far. Here's what we liked about them: Loads of fun - As long as you have somewhere to launch these tops, this kit will include everything else to get started. The kids set up a stadium and sent these tops spinning desperately trying to beat each other. Apparently you can get an extra point if you make your opponent's top explode! They seem durable - Everything fit together well, the launchers are easy to use, and we battled with these tops for literally hours. If there was going to be an issue, I think we would've seen it. These were all young kids playing and they weren't being careful at all! Toys like this encourages social play and interaction: It's a great toy to get the kids outside and (most importantly) playing with each other. Our street ended up with 8 kids, 2 stadiums, and a handful of adults cheering the games. It was fantastic fun! You'll still need to find a place to launch your tops, but everything else is included in this kit that you'd need to launch them. Definitely recommended!

The media could not be loaded. These tops are so cute! They spin for a long time, and once set up are easy to pull the strip and get going. The negative is that the instructions are not clear at all. It can be very confusing to get the pieces to fit together so you can use it. For a helpful hint, you need to thread the strip through the launcher before trying to attach the top to the launcher. This holds it steady so you can place the top on it and twist it to lock in place Also, the tiny spinner part that goes on last, can be very difficult to get in and lock. I did notice that if you look at them they look slightly different shaped, so you can't mix and match them between tops. This means pay attention when you unpackage them, as the colors don't all match up to make it apparent which piece goes with which. Once we figured out how to get the three pieces of the together and attach it to the launcher, it was a blast to play with! The cats even got involved, having a great time chasing the tops around and watching until they stopped spinning.

This X Stadium Kit is a pretty solid deal if you want to get started with battle tops without spending a fortune. It came with a good number of pieces six tops, two launchers, and the arena, so the value is definitely there. While the arena itself, especially the roof and track pieces, are decent quality, you have to snap them back on sometimes, the tops spin great and the kids absolutely love the whole setup. It’s perfect for casual play and hours of fun right out of the box, even if it's not the highest-end quality.
