Bought these to move a 7’X5’ 3 person hot tub. Everything I’ve read online and everyone I’ve talked to says you’ll need 4-6 strong men to lift and carry one of these. Between me and a buddy we were able to do it with just the two of us. The straps were JUST long enough to reach the 7’ length of the tub (we couldn’t carry it from opposing sides of the 5’ length because of how it sat on the trailer not to mention stability wouldn’t have been as good). Manufacturer shows the hot tub weighs 600+ pounds. Between a buddy and myself we were able to get this lifted and moved off the trailer (which had a ramp gate) with no problems. To get it on the trailer, we used a different method as it had to make it through a normal size man door so we tipped it on its side and placed it on furniture moving dollies with castors. Moving it off the trailer with these straps Was it heavy? Yes. Was it awkward? No. We used the vests NOT the forearm straps, so all the weight was bore on our legs, shoulder, and back. He and I lift weights regularly several times a week and are stout guys in our late 30s/early 40s. I wouldn’t expect women, older folks, or soy boys could do this sort of thing nor would I recommend it if you don’t have a background in heavy lifting or you’re sure to herniate a disc or get a hernia in your abdomen/groin. For us, it worked extremely well and mitigated any chance of damaging the tub.

The shoulder rig for this lift set was top notch quality. Built and stitched for durability. Easy to set up and use. The added back section definitely put this stuff over the top of what we were hoping for moving straps. Distributed weight comfortably and with more stability than just single "over the shouder" straps I have used in the past. This went way better than I was anticipating. Highly recommended.

I read the most relevant reviews and I should have read the most recent. These are faulty at best, dangerous at worst. I bought them to move 350-400lb range into my house. They fit well, and when we first lifted the range, they appeared to be working great. Unfortunately, after a few steps the buckles let go and the range fell....luckily not onto our feet. I ended up having to tie knots in the straps to make them the correct length as the buckles do not work.

This would probably be ok for moving a couch (maybe). I tried to use it for moving a large reef tank since you can't get people one the corners to lift to go through the door and thought this would be a great option. As we started walking with it the straps slowly started getting longer. We knew it was going to be a "no go" for going up the stairs because we couldn't change plans if the straps didn't work part way up the stairs so we end up using a fridge dolly to get it the rest of the way.

Invaluable to move large heavy items! Read the basic instructions. Adjusting the length of the straps took several attempts because at first they loosened when attempting to lift the item. Also important, placing the straps in an X-pattern underneath what you're going to lift. Patience and proper adjustment is key. Once dialed in, lifting a very large 250lb sofa box was so much easier and safer than any other method. No problem carrying up a U-Haul truck ramp with two people.
