The only reason for taking off a star is due to mediocre stickiness. These just wouldn't stay on our presents without taping down the 'tail.' I have yet to find a bow of this style that sticks well, though. Otherwise, they are georgeous and were very well protected in a clear plastic box. I would definitely purchase again.
