  • Durability and looks without the big price tag
Size: 34W x 30L Color: Bark
I think these might be the best pair of pants I own. I purchased 3 of them in different colors and I'm very happy with my purchase. From the look and styling, to the material and their durability, I think Wrangler hit a home run with these. I bought these for work. But these are definitely a pair of pants you can wear on a casual night out and still look spiffy. The price is on point. And for the money I think the bang for the buck is unbeatable. Fit is true to size. The waist is not really stretchy so If you prefer a little give in the waist of your pants order a size or 2 up. I find these pants to be extremely comfortable. I can bend, kneel, squat and do any number of movements without restrictions. Other pants typically get hung up on the knees for example if you squat. These are plenty roomy and don't feel claustrophobic. You retain a natural range of motion in them. They are thick and feel like you can weather the apocalypse in these but because of the design you have room to breathe so there's no overheating in them. I love these pants. ... show more

  • A must have for your working man
Size: 32W x 34L Color: Slate
These work pants are tough and comfortable. The fabric feels durable without being stiff, and they hold up well for long workdays. The fit is relaxed but still functional, with plenty of pockets for tools and essentials. Great for outdoor work, construction, or everyday wear if you want something sturdy and reliable. A solid choice for work pants! ... show more

  • Durable but Quirky Waist Sizing
Size: 32W x 32L Color: Dark Brown
I've only worn them once, but the pants appear very durable and are of good quality. I like the ripstop material as it dries quickly. If weight indicates quality, these pants weigh 888 grams or 1.9 lbs. Maybe the weight can be used to compare other pant choices. The waist sizing is weird on me. I normally wear 32" waist pants, but these 32 " pants are too tight. However, the 33" waist pants are too big and I cannot pull them down over my hips. Maybe it's my body. The relaxed fit makes them comfortable, allowing free body movement. I like the pant's cargo pockets, and they are quite large. I recommend these pants for anyone doing outdoor work, but be mindful of the waist sizing. I noticed that many reviews do not show ripstop, but other fabrics. ... show more

  • Best working pants a man needs
Size: 36W x 34L Color: Loden
Very great pants. I’ve been wearing this brand for probably about 8 years now. This pair I bought is probably my 10th-ish that I have gotten. They are tough and reliable. Depending on the amount and type of wear and tear, you can probably get 1-3 years use out of them before they start getting kind of ratty. They also tend to lose color after a while but that is to be expected. They have generous pocket space. While a tad heavy, they make up for in comfortability and ruggedness. My cats love them because they can dig their claws in and I don’t feel a thing! I definitely recommend these and have already gotten my friends to buy them too. Hey Wrangler, if you are looking for a brand advocate, HOOK ME UP! ... show more

  • Carhartt... Who's Carhartt?
Size: 35W x 30L Color: Loden
Boy oh boy, was I skeptical about ordering PANTS online. I wear a 35 x 30... yea, I'm kinda built like a brick... a not-too-tall brick, so I never buy pants without trying them on first. So I was more than a little pleasantly suprised to find a pair of extremely well-built, comfortable, and well-fitting cargo pants that even look pretty good on me. (I say pretty good cause, lets face it, with my body type I'll never be in an Old Spice commercial) I got several comments on these jeans the first day I wore them to work! (Yes, by women...) I thought I would point out a few things about these pants that aren't mentioned in the Amazon description: The Best! If you actually do some PHYSICAL LABOR at your jobsite, you most likely wear a knife with a side pocket clip. I usually put mine in my front right pocket in the corner. I have lost count of how many pockets I have worn completely out, and how many good knives I have lost, by constantly taking my knife out and putting it back to that spot. These pants have nice piece of leather in that exact spot!!! And its not overly thick so my knife is still easy to take out and put back in my pocket. Truly Awsome! The pant sizes have more variety. What I mean is most pant sizes go from a 34" waist to a 36" waist... I have always been cursed with being right in the middle. The 34 was a little too tight, and the 36 was just too baggy. 35" is just right! Riggs is made by Wrangler so maybe that is how all their jeans are. Whatever the case my be, Thank You! I have owned several pairs of Carhartt cargo work pants... I don't want to say anything bad about their product, because I really do believe they make a great pair of jeans, BUT... Their pants have always been tailored to a slimmer build, and there are a lot of guys like me who will just never fit into that particular cut. Has anyone out there ever spent more than a few hours bucking bales of hay? If you have then you have probably worn out the thighs of either the right or left legs, maybe both! These pants are DOUBLE LAYERED over the thighs. I haven't put them through the ringer yet, but I believe these pants will take a lot hay bales before they will even come close to wearing out. Minor con The only thing I have that is not completely complimentory about these pants are the pockets. I love the number and placement of all the pockets, but the front hip and rear pockets are very deep. This is more a personal preference than any real flaw in the product. A lot of it has to do with the fact that I ALWAYS where a watch, and it makes it a little awkward to dig into my pocket. I also cary a golfers wallet (yea, I'm an enigma) so its also a bit of an adjustment digging it out of my back pocket. In summary, I really can't say enough great things about these Riggs cargo pants. I feel like a was stretching a little bit about the pockets, but I base a lot of my Amazon purchases on customer reviews and I thought I owed it to everyone else looking for a product like this to give as much information as I could. (And I hope my spelling was close!) ... show more

  • Great pair of work pants
Size: 38W x 30L Color: Loden
Great pair of pants. Worn these for several years. The quality is legit, material is great, and durability is noticed. Used these for working in the woods and in the field. Might be a little stiff for some, but that will depend on personnel taste. The cargo pockets are generous and the hip pockets are quite roomy. ... show more

  • Even though relaxed fit they are small and pinches in waist/hip
Size: 36W x 30L Color: Kangaroo
Edit: there is clearly a sizing issue. These pants have nice pockets and seem durable but the 36 waist is too small and the 38 is too big. Also I think the 30in length is way longer than it should be. Most of the time 30in is on the shorter side for me and these are long if I pull them past my belly button. I guess that’s what you get for paying $23 on sale, they must be pawning off bad sized product. Would be 5 stars if the fit was consistent. They were just a but tight in the waist and hip causing a pinch. I had to order a size up (which is 2 sizes between 36 and 38). I was disappointed because I have their ATG hiking cargo pants that fit perfectly at size 36. I don’t know if it’s a quality control issue or sizing difference between product lines, but the pants seem high quality otherwise. ... show more

  • Great Fit
Size: 38W x 36L Color: Black
I bought two pairs of these pants for my husband for work. He's a professional gardener, so he needs pants that are durable enough to hold up to dirt, snags, and all sorts of rough use while also allowing him to have a good range of motion and flexibility. These pants seem like they will do the job. He has not worn them to work yet because it is the off season for him, but the material seems much more durable than his other work pants that kept ripping. As the person who has spent countless hours patching and repatching his work pants, sometimes on a weekly basis, extra durable fabric is a must, and the reinforced knees (mid-thigh to mid-calf) are a wonderful, added bonus (a gift to myself, really). He also was able to sit, bend, kneel, and squat comfortable in them. The legs and hip areas were loose enough for comfort and range of motion, while the waist (38) fit perfectly. I can't really comment on the fit of the waist compared to other pants because he has lost 25 lbs since we bought his last pair of pants in a different brand, so I had no idea what size he was when I ordered; I just bought a couple different sizes based on my best guess. They seemed a bit long when he first tried them on (he is 6' 3", and I ordered the 36" length, his normal pants length), but the length was perfect when he had his work boots on. For color, I bought one pair in black and the other in loden. They are both nice colors that seem perfect for hiding dirt stains. I have to return the loden because it is too big (size 40), but I will replace it with one in the same color. UPDATE 4/11/2018: Since I left my first review, I have ordered four more pairs of these pants because they are so comfortable and durable. He now works on a landscaping crew that gets contracts fixing people' yards after the electric company has dug them up, so he's hauling a lot of dirt and often gets on his hands and knees installing sod. He also sometimes works with the tree crews to clean up brush, so his clothes are often getting snagged by tree branches and sticks as well. He only has six pairs of these pants, so each one has been worn about once a week (sometimes more) for over a year now, and they're barely showing wear. There are a some tiny spots on each pair where the fabric looks a tiny bit frayed or thinner than the surrounding fabric, but nothing worth getting my sewing machine out yet. Most of the spots are on the usual areas, like the hem or on the double knees (still my favorite feature). Some areas of the pants are a bit faded (knees, mostly), but that's the least of our concerns. He says the pants have been very comfortable in all aspects of his job, though they do get hot during the summer, but he figures he's going to be hot regardless while working in the sun. In the winter, he wears a pair of long underwear from Eddie Bauer underneath for extra warmth. As the person who does the laundry, I can also say that they come pretty clean from the wash as well, without much effort on my part. I use about 2/3-3/4 of a cap of laundry detergent (versus half a cap for a normal load), and I don't fill the washer up as much as I normally would. I do give them a pre-wash sometimes if they're literally caked in dried up mud, but that's it. BTW, for those wondering about the "Dirt Drop Vents" on the double knees, when you're working in dirt on your knees, small dirt particles can work their way through the fabric and get trapped between the fabrics of the double knees, so it's good to have the small slit of fabric to get out any trapped particles. Just make sure to shake them out before washing, or else you end up with mulch and small twigs in the lint catcher of your dryer... ... show more
