My husband has worn 30-30 Wranglers for years. We were pleased to see Wranglers Authentics because of the combination of 100% cotton, relaxed fit and reasonable price. It was surprising that it was necessary to shorten the current 30-30 jeans by 3 1/2 inches. On careful comparison with the years-old, well-worn comparable Wranglers, there was a significant change in design. Both had inseams of 30 inches as advertised, but the newer version had a significant increase in the distance between the waistband and crotch. Presumably, this is a modification intended to accommodate the unfortunate trend of larger lower abdominal girth in many men. Unfortunately, in the case of men who still have flat abdomens, it effectively increases the overall length of the jeans. I would be more unhappy about this, except that I can readily re-hem the jeans. The bonus was that the excess fabric cut from the jeans provided sturdy material which, when tied into knots, turned into a great tug toy for our dogs.

Great pants, good fit! will buy more later- BUT, be careful of zipper! the brass teeth are SHARP! I cut the back of my hand, tucking my shirt in. Maker should have de-burred zipper before sewing in.(maybe Wrangler's zipper source needs to a tumbler?

When I first got these, I wrote "My wallet is a little large for some of the dress slacks I own, but I've never had a problem slipping it into the hip pockets on any other pair of jeans I have (or have had). However on these, the hip pockets are a bit narrower than the same pockets on any other pair of jeans I own (some Wrangler and some from that company that starts with the letter "L") and while my wallet fits into all of those with no problem, it is almost impossible to get it into the pocket on these." However after wearing them (by actual count) 8 times - and of course trying to force my wallet in to hip pocket - the pocket stretched enough to allow me to slip my wallet into it without having to use extreme force. I was surprised because this is the first pair of jeans I've ever had which had this problem (and I've been using that wallet for about 7-8 years, so the problem would have shown up a long time ago had my other jeans had the same problem. (Or so I suppose...) At any rate these jeans work for me now and I'll stop griping. It was just an unpleasant surprise, and as the old commercial (for a credit card, IIRC) said, "The best surprise of all is no surprises." These came with the aforementioned surprise. Not a problem now, but be advised that if you have a large wallet, it may be a tight fit or it may possibly not fit at all... initially anyway. Of course if you have a "normal" sized wallet (whatever that is supposed to mean) then you are likely not to see this particular problem...

Ordered these for my husband to replace a previous pair of the same style in the exact same size and they fit very different from his other pants. These are much looser, to the point of being baggy, and the length looks about 2 sizes bigger than they're supposed to be.
