After having lost a significant amount of weight, my 38" cargo shorts were much too large. Needed some 36" ones but was having trouble finding decent ones this late in the summer. The ones I was able to find in my size and color were way overpriced ($50 for cargo shorts in late summer?...c'mon guys). These are exactly what I wanted. Great price, they fit well and the 2% spandex allows for a little extra give if needed. Normally, I get 100% cotton and was not thrilled with 98% cotton/2% spandex. Now that I have them and worn them for several weeks, though, not a problem. They have 7 pockets which is just right. The so-called tech pocket is on the left and is roomier than my other Wrangler ones. Fine by me. I use this pocket for my eyeglasses and these holds reading glasses and sunglasses easily. The flaps on both outside pockets are secured by velcro (the right one is where I keep my phone). The four inside pockets are sufficiently deep. Would have liked a button or something on at least one back pocket to protect my wallet but not a big deal. This is not a complaint, just a statement. Besides, these pants I usually wear with the shirt hanging out anyway. Finally, I have had some issues with older shorts where there is a double seam on the outside pocket, causing them to pop out a bit, even if only lightly filled. Hate that. Although these have a double seam there is more material between the seams so I do not find popping out to be an issue with them. I bought two pairs of the dark putty and one of the grain twill. Both colors shown on Amazon not exactly true. The dark putty is more like a stone or pewter color. Perfect for me. On Amazon picture they look almost white. The grain twill is what I would call khaki. Again, perfect for me. Not too dark as some of them can be and as appears in the Amazon picture. Very pleased with this purchase and will likely purchase these again when needed.

Love these cargo shorts. I've been buying the wrangler cargo pants for years and decided to try the shorts for a trip to the tropics. I'm a size 35 or 36 (depending on the brand), but I followed the suggestions of many reviewers here and went with a size down, a 34. Glad I did. The spandex in the waist band makes it work, and now I have shorts that aren't overly baggy. Love the cargo pockets for travel-safe wallet-carry, and the cell phone pocket is very handy; both are same dimensions as in the pants version. Liked them so much I bought a second pair. Can't beat the price for similar quality.

My son wears these shorts all the time, and they hold up nicely to his rough use of clothing! Just be aware that there are two "fits" - but they are not explained anywhere on the Amazon page. For example, if you order 32 waist, then you're going to get a 32 inch waist, with a LOOSER fit in the legs. If you order 32R, then you'll get a narrower leg. It took me several returns and exchanges to figure this out. Fitness also seems to depend some on the color of the pants/material used.

The size 36 fits like a 38. I usually wear Savant cargo shorts and decided to give these a try. The material used for the Wrangler shorts is much lighter than Savant. I'm not sure how they are going to hold up for daily use working as a handyman.

These are very nice shorts. Color is great, they have held up nicely in the wash. My only problem is the flex feature makes them fit a little looser than I like but I can go down a size. I would prefer no flex material but if you need a little extra give these are perfect. I would still recommend because they are quality at a great price. We all have different bodies so a perfect fit is sometimes hard to achieve. That said I wear them regularly with no complaints.

I like these shorts. pockets are at the right location. (purchased other brands that the pockets are over lapped and useless) They are light weigh and not heavy like regular jean pants. They will stretch about 1.5 inches so keep that in mind when ordering. I would buy these again!
