Perhaps the lever is "14K real gold plating" but the earring itself feels like plastic. For $12+ I didn't expect much, so no let down there. What I will say for these earrings (purchased the gold tone) is that they are VERY light. A perfect weight if you have to be wearing earrings all day. I wouldn't give them as a gift, but I think they're awesome imposters. If I notice a problem with longterm wear I will update my review. For now, this earring is a nice daily wear. ... show more
