The blue side of this cutting mat has measurements in METRIC. The green side is measured in INCHES. The green side has 30 - 45 - 60 & 90 degree angles. The blue side shows 30 - 60 - 90 & 120 degree lines. The mat is a nice thickness (sturdy), but is still able to be rolled up to take to a class or sewing/quilting event. (I used zip ties around it to hold it in a tube shape). I've been doing lots of cutting on it daily for several weeks and haven't noticed any scaring or nicks and it feels as smooth as the day I got it. Love the size and the fact that I can lay a piece of folded 45" or 60" fabric on the mat and cut without having to "scoot" it over. Price and quality were great and it's my "go-to" mat. Definitely recommend this brand.

I love this mat! I was Leary at first. But since it was as big as they said it was. I thought it would be perfect for my desk. It is great for working on small projects. I love the quality of it and for the price it is a great buy. I have been using it so much lately for cutting paper art projects. It still looks great! If this one ever hoes bad. I love the size of this mat, and I love that I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for it. it works great. The only thing I find troubling is the odor of it. I can't recall if it was like this from day one or if it picked up cooking odors (my sewing room is currently my dining room—right outside my kitchen) along the way. But it has a funky smell that doesn't seem to want to go away.

This is an excellent cutting mat for leather work and crafts, here's why: First, the softness is perfect: So it allows your knife to cut into the mat slightly, preventing damage to your table or main work surface, but also preventing your knife from going completely through the mat and damaging or even cutting it in half. At the same time, the softness prevents unnecessary wear to your knife itself. Before this, believe it or not, I was actually using an old chair mat for a cutting mat, but my tools dulled very quick. This mat has made a huge difference in my work process. Also, it is a great thickness, with multiple layers. The topmost layer is quite soft, perfect for cutting on, while the inner layer is harder and provides a firmness to this mat. However, it is vital to use and store this mat flat; otherwise, it will develop a curve. By the way, to extend the life of these mats, I've read that it's best to keep them hydrated. So I put some water on mine monthly to keep the cutting surface and membrane soft and supple. I want this to last a long time. Third, the markings on the green side are super useful when laying out and cutting material. You can see the amount of wear and tear on the Green side - which I've used almost exclusively. This has been a great value for me. The only con - if you want to call it that - is that I wish it were a little bigger. Still, I would buy this again because the features and size work well for a small maker's space.

I got this for cutting backing Matt's for some frames and it did a fantastic job for that. I like the double sided printing that I can see being useful for some future projects. It's nice and thick. My exacto blades didn't catch on it while using it unlike others I've used. A pretty great little cutting mat for a good price.
