    • Awesome Mat But.....
I ordered the Big 36"X48" Mat, It shipped in a Nice Flat Box. Unfortunately when I took it out the Amazon Giant Envelope had tears on it.. I pulled it out a little and I saw the End had a Deep Cut on it :( .. So I did not even bother taking it out completely. I called Amazon and they had someone come and pick it up for " Free " Return (Love That)! When I received the 2nd order.. You guessed it.. Lovely Mat, But it also had a Cut into the Mat !! I was so sad... Anyway, I had to send that back and Customer Service went above board to make sure I was happy.. They were Great! The Mat was Beautiful, but I'm not getting the deep cut's that came with the Mat ?? I am happy now, I ordered another brand and am completely satisfied !! ... show more

I think packing caused a few of these issues SEE PHOTOS: Corners bent/cracked/peeling Divots on both sides Yellow marks In random places Odd film that felt grimy on both sides The initial smell after taking the mat out of its packing was NASTY! Not a clue what to compare it to Waiting for it to flatten fully to be able to cut. I’ll be back with that part of the review. ... show more

    • Great cutting mat at a great price
I was a little bit concerned when I read previous reviews which indicated that the mat came rolled and would not flatten out. Mine came in the biggest box I think UPS has ever delivered to our house and was only slighly curved within the box. When it came out it was flat right away. It is a generously sized mat at the price of many smaller mats and of equal quality. Great purchase! ... show more

It's huge, it's thick, it's accurate. So why 3 stars? Because I bought this more than 6 months ago and I CANNOT GET IT TO LIE FLAT. I let it sit for a few weeks first. Then I added books to the high spots for a few more. Then we tried furniture. Now I'm reduced to sitting my whole weight on top of it and try to soften it with heat. And it's still wavy!! It wouldn't be such a problem if it weren't so durable. It's 2-3mm thick of incredibly stiff material, which sounds great until all those layers conspire against you. What good is a 36x48 cutting mat if your cuts are wavy from a hilly cutting surface?? I vow to only buy mats in store from now on so they don't roll them up and ruin them! So disappointed to finally get a big cutting mat and have to set it aside for quality reasons. ... show more
