This is an extremely heavy, well made comforter. It is so heavy it was hard for me to carry it from the washer to the dryer. The outer surface has a true dark denim color, just like Levi jeans. We bought this for our RV bedding. It is perfect! It looks like it came with the RV! We took a short trip and used it for the weekend. It was so comfortable and the perfect amount of weight. Not too heavy and not too light. It is the cooler time of year right now, but when we went to bed it was 68 degrees and when we woke up it was 56 degrees in the camper. I was never too hot or too cold. I can not say how it will do in the summer, but it's perfect for fall camping. I tend to sleep hot, so I may need something lighter for summer. I love the look and attention to detail. It fits the bed well and covers the sides as it should. I have a California king and bought the Cal King size. It seems to be well made.
