I ordered these in preparation for Valentine's Day decorating; I've always been a fan of the conversation hearts as a snack around then, and they're very much a modern classic seasonal decor for me since I'm not into over-the-top lace and flowers everywhere. These are cut from wood (or possibly MDF--I can't tell as the edges have been well-sanded and painted) before being covered in candy shades of paint. The painting is done well, with full coverage and crisp lettering which was probably pad-printed onto the painted hearts. They're slightly smaller than my palm, which is a good size for tiered tray decor, but would also work well as small accents scattered throughout a room or the house. They're large enough to be cute and legible when placed near a child or held by them, if you're looking for seasonal portrait props; how cute would a grinning crawling-stage baby be holding one of these, or reaching out for it? And they could also be used as props for adults' love-related photos, like engagements, less-formal wedding photos, or anniversaries. I'm quite happy with them overall. ... show more

These wooden hearts are really cute. They have sayings on both sides. The paint isn't perfect and one had a tiny chip in it, but for decor that's only used a few weeks I think it's fine. I also wish the pink heart was more pink, less purple. These hearts fit on a tiny shelf that we decorate for every holiday, so I'm pleased with their size. These are nice and sturdy little heart-shaped blocks and they will be so cute to use for Valentine's Day decor. Each heart block can be flipped over and a different little saying is printed on each side, so if you don't like the saying on one of them, you can flip it over to the other side (I've included pictures of each side of them). I think we all love the cute messages on conversation hearts around Valentine’s Day but who likes the taste of them? No one that I know, and that is why these are the best kind of conversation hearts. No chalky aftertaste and you can leave them out as long as you like. I planned to use them on my tiered tray, but given how vibrant and fun they are I am taking them to work to enjoy the bright colors on my desk. They are sturdy and stack atop one another with ease. I'm quite impressed with these little hearts. They are a great size. The color is great! They're fully covered and bright. The typing is clear, spelled correctly, and true to the candy style. I didn't realize before ordering, but each side of the hearts has a different message. 12 phrases in all. These wooden hearts are adorable. They’re not so light that they blow over in the slightest breeze. I like that they’re printed on both sides with a different word or phrase, making them viewable from any vantage point in the room. They stack comfortably in lots of configurations, and no one can resist playing with them. Seeing them, I was immediately transported back in time, fondly reminiscent of those iconic candy hearts. They look larger in the photo and admittedly, I didn't browse through all the photos to see the one where the size is listed.
