  • Sweet cudgel
Makes a good tire knocker or self defense item. The weight of the bat feels great in my hand and allows for great swinging leverage. Makes for a good cudgel.

  • Perfect for Non-Baseball Use
I'm guessing you're not getting this for baseball. For the other reasons, yes, this is great! :-) Plenty of weight behind this. The description in the listing describes this in such a way that I do wonder if this is solid wood or not. Given it's weight, I'm guessing perhaps not, but I don't know for sure. Regardless, this has plenty of the needed heft you need for... well, you know. Anyway, my only negative about this - because of the neck diameter, I do wonder how many full-on strikes this would take before the neck would be compromised. I wish it was a little thicker and thus more dependable in defense situations. Hopefully though, I'll never have to find out. Great for the home - stored under the couch etc. Overall, very happy with this. I hope you liked my review. I always try really hard to write reviews are are candid, honest, and helpful for your shopping decisions. No AI here... all the poor writing is mine and mine alone! :-P ... show more

  • Durability Questionable.
Definitely not the One Hand Trainer I expected it to be, photos are a bit deceiving, handle is only about 1/4”-1/2” thick.

  • An Excellent Well-balanced little bat! Very well constructed!
What an excellent little bat! Just the thing for teaching a young child how to hold the bat properly and how to hit a ball. Using an oversized ball in conjunction with this little bat can do quite a job hitting the oversized ball that I purchased! I started out with him using a support for the ball to get the initial feel of the hand-eye coordination for hitting the ball. Next step will be teaching him to hit with the ball being tossed lightly toward him. Now more on the bat. The bat is structured very solidly. I have to admit there is more weight and heft to it than I had initially imagined there would be. It is a very solidly constructed little bat. I suspect that I would be remiss were I not to say a word about other 'potential,' uses. I am aware of the fact that this is very much like the little wooden bats that are frequently used by truckers to assess whether their tires are properly inflated. Finally, this would indeed make an excellent self-defense object were one needing to protect yourself if under attack. This would be a most formidable weapon that could most definitely save one's life! It has great heft, has excellent balance in the hand, and swings beautifully, given the structural balance the bat has! This little bat is very well constructed and is definitely a worthwhile investment, whether one is trying to teach the art of playing ball, checking tires with the best-looking little tire thumper around, or, failing all else, an excellent self-defense instrument! This little bat DEFINITELY gets my highest of recommendations! ... show more

  • Good piece of mind, shipping plastic a bit clingy
I purchased this bat for piece of mind for protection in my bedroom. I’ve read that if i don’t want to have a firearm for self protection, a small bat is one of the better alternatives (Compared to pepper spray, or a taser). And a smaller bat is apparently easier to wield than a full size one, to avoid striking the ceiling or walls if confronted. I’m under no illusions that should i be confronted with an intruder, i should attempt to just call authorities, but it’s nice having at least SOMETHING easy at hand in my nightstand for a last resort. This bat seems to be of solid construction, easy to wield, and nothing really to complain about. The ONE small issue i took from it was the shrink wrap that was applied to it for shipping, it stuck a bit to the bat, and so it took me about 5-10 minutes to fully remove it. Not a big deal, and only has to be done once so i didn’t want to knock it for that. Other than that, hopefully i never have to use it, but I like that I have it. ... show more

  • Great for anything except a baseball training tool
This bat can be used for many things as the title says fishing bat soft defense, tire, checker, camping, etc. however he is not a well-balanced bat for one handed baseball swings. If you know you know if you want something that’s small has some weight to it and you’re gonna use it for almost anything except Baseball training Then it’s fine but I would not recommend it for one arm swings through the zone with someone training for baseball because the balance is and loaded on a short bat and obstruct your ability to be on plane accurately, when swinging, which is the very point of a one arm swing ... show more

  • Cool bat!
I got this bat for self defense, and it seems it will work out well. The bat is made from wood, and it has a nice weight to it. It's a little heavier than I expected, but it's a good size. It is small enough to fit under the seat in a car. It is small enough to fit into a backpack or something similar. It feels very solid and balanced. It has black paint to color it. There is a patriotic logo on the end of the bat too. I'm not much for patriotism, but it doesn't look bad or anything. The handle doesn't have grip tape or whatnot. I don't have a problem with that, because I like the natural feel of it. Overall, I think this is a nice little bat. It can be used for different things like kid's baseball, self defense, fishing, etc. I only use it for self defense though. I recommend this if you're looking for an item like this. I think the price is okay. It seems durable and ready for the game! ... show more

  • Whoever used tape on this completely ruined the whole thing
I have no idea what kind of tape they wrapped this in, but I could not remove it to save my soul! I'm not even sure it's tape, because it feels like thick plastic when you peel it off. It's also sharp, because a piece slid under my nail and cut me. The bat itself is sturdy and well made, but I'll probably sand the tape off it and repaint it. It kind of sucks to do that because I liked the logo. Sadly the logo was faded anyways, so not much of a loss. Sorry for the 1 star rating, but that's not how you prepare things for shipping. Some simple plastic wrap and foam padding would've sufficed. ... show more
