This is an unusual and fun costume. I couldn't tell you why axolotls are all the rage now, but I know a couple people who are wild about them. To people who don't know about them, this will probably look like a cute pink dinosaur or a strange Yoshi. The inflatable looks just like the photos. The little ruff around the head spikes flutters in the breeze and is definitely a nice touch. The only thing to be aware of is that the foot holes are small. If your kid has big feet, it might be a tight fit. The legs built into the costume are comically small proportion wise. It harms the illusion a bit, but since you can't really take it seriously it's not a problem. The nylon is thin so that it inflates well, you'll have to be careful about snagging it on bushes if you're using this outside. It inflates pretty quickly and the fan isn't too noisy. The power pack has a USB connection so maybe you could run this off of a standard USB powerpack?

This fit my 7yo perfectly. It has a little room for height, but not much. It was easy to get on, and performed perfectly once batteries were installed. Kept up with moving, staying inflated. Looks like an adorable Axolotl. Perfect little costume, in my opinion. Lots of smiles all the way around.

This has been such a fun costume for our kids to share. It's surprisingly simple to use: they just step into it like a pair of pants, and you help tighten it around the waste and ankles. A small, battery powered fan then inflates the actual costume around them. The kids love it because it's just too silly to prance around on an axolotl, and it's very lightweight and easy to move. We love it because it folds back down into a half-shoebox sized container for easy storage.

This inflatable axolotl costume is really cute! This might be the next big costume for Halloween - last year, we didn't see any of these on Halloween, so I'm excited for a new idea! The inflator works pretty well. Definitely check the measurements because this is not adult-sized, only for kids.

I've read the other reviews. Apparently the one I received is defective. My child is only 4'1" and under a 100 lbs but the ankles of this costume won't even fit over her foot. I tried it on several other children and only a toddler could get it on. I closed up the openings and it does inflate quickly on par with the other inflatable costumes I have. The axolotl looks like the pictures. Hopefully mine is the only one with this issue.

I managed to find an inflatable Axolotl costume for my daughter. She loves this so much. Requires batteries. Easy to put on and take off. The costume inflates quicker than I was expecting. This is perfect for her to play with year around. All of her friends have asked where we bought it from, and of course AMAZON!! Not only is this a fantastic Halloween costume, but this is something she can play with year around. It all fits right back into the box it arrived in and that is how I will store the costume when it is not in use. Highly recommend this costume.

Everyone knows that Axolotls are the hot thing right now for kids. My girls absolutely love this! They both want to wear it and prance around the house and act like goons while they do it. It seems to be well made and inflates easily. Obviously, the novelty will wear off, but if you're looking for an inflatable axolotl, look no further!
