  • Super little gadget
Style: 6 teeth,Curve 90mm
I used this to remove roots that were on top of the ground in my yard, trying to not damage my new riding mower and tired of dodging the root!!!! This little thing eats the wood up and sliings shavings every where !!! All though it is a little samller in diameter it is BAD to the bone!!! I did notice when cleaning the sap off of it some of the teeth were bent and not sure why i did not hit anything with it as far as rock mostly wood roots only ... show more

Please don’t try using this if you don’t have common sense it is a very aggressive wheel turning what 10-13k rpm use your PPE and be smart bought it to take some stumps down below grade so I don’t hit with the mower worked like I thought it would!

  • Works great as a mini stump-grinder!
Style: 8 teeth,Curve 103mm
I had some wicked tree roots bulging up from my grass that were starting to catch the edge of my mower deck. This wheel ground them away like butter! I was very surprised how smooth and fast it went. From the look of it I was expecting a lot of vibration and bucking, but there was none of that. Just make sure to use both hands on the tool and be aware of where your body is in relation to the tool in case it does buck. This fit my Makita 9564CV 4-1/2" angle grinder with no problem. Did not need a special nut. Also fit my old POS harbor-freight grinder no problem. I used the medium setting on the Makita, about 6500rpm. ... show more

  • Tips for safe use
Style: 6 teeth,Curve 90mm
I bought this disc primarily to plane small logs prior to milling. I also plan to try power carving. As others have noted, the recess in the disc (38 mm) is too small to fit the arbor nut on most 4 ½ inch angle grinders with a 5/8 inch spindle. I knew this in advance, so I bought an after-market nut that fits in the recess. Minus one star for non-standard dimensions. Other than this, the disc works well. I’ve used it on maple and alder. It powers through wood and bark in a predictable manner. I’ve mainly used it on clear, straight grained wood. End grain is slower but do-able. I haven’t used the disc much on knots, burl, or irregular grain. Carbide blades spinning at 10,000 RPM are no joke. Use caution and wear appropriate PPE. If you tip the grinder forward so the top edge of the disc is contacting the wood surface, the disc wants to pull from right to left. In this orientation, the disc cuts predictably when the tool is swept from left to right. It’s the same principle as using a router: The tool is easiest to control when going against the pull of the cutting edge. Even though I’m right handed, I have the side handle attached on the right side of the grinder. God forbid, if the disc ever catches violently enough to rip the grinder out of my hands, I’m hoping it will travel right to left, away from my body and away from my side-grip hand. ... show more
