Macy;s Place Wood Butter contains only 100% food grade white mineral oil and all natural beeswax. There are no other unnecessary additives. Regular application prevents splitting, cracking, and fraying for long lasting beauty of boards, spoons and butcher block surfaces. Just apply a thin layer of butter wax, let sit to absorb (overnight when possible) and remove with a clean dry paper towel or cotton rag. Its just that simple.

My father was a butcher in the late 1940’s and being Daddy’s little girl, I helped my father in the meat shop when my mother went back to work. This seems to be an excellent product for our wood utensils and cutting boards. It's thick enough that I can apply it by simply dipping my finger in it then rubbing it on the wood. The heat generated from doing it like this really seems to be a positive.

Simply excellent solution to keep wood surface protected and natural looking. Safe and delicate on wood - doesn't cause any warping or any other damage to structure of wood fiber. Once applied, wood feel dry, not sticky. Love absence of smell. Highly recommend.

This wax was perfect for the cutting boards I placed on top of my kitchen countertop. I used the entire 4oz on a 3x6 butcherblock cutting board. The natural wax soaked into the wood well and sealed it for everyday use. The seller also included a nice thank you note in the item that was appreciated.
