I ordered these shoes in black for my 72 year old mother in a size 8. It’s true to size. Mother usually wears an 8 wide. These size 8 fit her perfect. She wears them with out socks. They are super comfortable and not heavy. Shoes are light weight. Not bulky. She loves them. But she dislikes one thing about them. We get a fair amount of snow here. Mostly not deep. So these boots will be adequate. They are ankle height and when zipped will prevent snow from entering at the top. The fur lining is nice but not enough warmth to be worn without socks. Only 4 stars because the nylon zipper is difficult to slide up to the collar. The tread is good on wet surfaces. I wear a size 10 and ordered a half size larger anticipating wearing socks. They are true to size. I will order a second pair in another color as I am pleased with the quality. ... show more

We got 3”’of snow, so I thought I would try these out. I wore thick socks with them, but my toes were quite cold after being outside for just a few minutes, and when I walked snow made its way inside of them. So, I decided these are definitely not boots that will be suitable for a northern MI winter. Perhaps they would work in warmer climates or on days where there is just a dusting of snow. So, I started wearing them inside as slippers. As slippers, they are amazing. These boots (I've got 2 pairs) are very comfy, very warm but NOT waterproof. They do ok with dew or light wetness. Accidentally step in water that goes up to the seem (doesn't take much water)of the sole and it seeps right in. I wanted to leave a review on these boots about size. They look a little wider across the top than I thought they would but are very comfortable. I wear a shoe anywhere between an 8.5 and sometimes a 9 but usually 8.5 size. Someone wrote a review stating they were true to size. I decided at the last minute to order a 9 (beige) and they fit perfectly and i love them. I took a long walk in them today and they were very comfortable. I also put my custom orthotics inside. I bought two pair.. I bought the one coffee color.. with the zipper it was too big especially around the ankle .. fit was weird…and the zipper wasn’t functioning correctly so I sent that back. However Kept the gray shorter one.. very comfy.. tried in rain .. is waterproof.. haven’t tried in snow yet. No support.. wouldn’t recommend for extended walks.. comfortable yes.. warm yes… seems to run large .. could have went down a 1/2 size.. but thick socks helps that.
