For the price, I really thought I was going to order this and have it be a terrible quality and/or fit.I thought I would look in the mirror and, like every other time I've tried on a swim suit, feel completely uncomfortable in my own skin. This is the first time in my entire life that I have actually felt ok (confident even!) in any swimwear ever. QUALITY: Surprisingly great! I don't feel like this will fall apart anytime soon. But honestly, for the price and how it makes me feel, I wouldn't even care if it did. I'd just buy another one! FIT: I am 5'6", 38B cup, and I wear a size 12-14 (curvy). I followed the size chart and ordered a 3XL and it fits really well! The bottoms are cute and comfortable...the cover my butt (which is not easy to do lol) and they go all the way up to my natural waist. The top is also comfortable and the underwire helps to keep the shape. Since I have a smaller bra size, I constantly struggle with bras and swim tops gaping open the second I move or bend over...this has zero gaping! If you have a large bust but you are my size otherwise, you might have some trouble with the cups not being big enough. But I would still recommend trying it...you can always return it! The halter straps are well-made and secure and they help add to the retro feel of the suit. I also found a plain black bottom at Target that is more mid-waist rather than high waist...even with the black bottoms, the top works great! You could easily swap out the top or bottom with a different one if you wanted something different. I'm not usually one to write a long review about something, but I know that these reviews helped me so much when I was on the fence about trying this suit. Seriously, just buy it! It's so cheap compared to other options, the fit and style is super cute, and you can always return it.

Let's face it - I've always been too thick/chunky/fat/overweight.... WHATEVER for a two piece. But... after a scolding from my doctor, I lost about 50 pounds and found that my old stretched out one piece wasn't going to cut it. So.... shopping I go. I was feeling confident (50 pounds gone!), so I decided to purchase this two piece. Let me tell you... I have ZERO confidence issues when wearing this suit. None. I wore it with my girlfriends to a water park, I wore it to a pool party with my "Southern Baptist Church Ladies", I wore it on vacation... it really is SUPER flattering. You also can pull the bottoms all the way up to the bra so it looks like a one piece. I like that I can adjust the waist to show more or less skin. (or get more or less sun...) Now- okay. For reference. When I purchased this suit I was 200 pounds, 5'4". BUT... because of muscle mass and bone density... that doesn't help ANYONE when it comes to sizing. I was in a size 12 jeans, a 42C bra, size large unisex t-shirt. I *probably* could have gone down a size on this swim suit. I have a friend who ordered the next size down and when I tried it on, it fit too. There wasn't a huge difference. Now... three years later? I've gained what I'm calling the "Covid-25". So, I'm now 225, still 5'4". I am up a size in jeans, and while I can still wear the same size bra and t-shirts... they're slightly more snug. The swimsuit still fits. And I still wore it on vacation last year. ;)

Giving 4 stars here only due to the fit on me, personally - like other reviewers have mentioned, I may have a case where I'd look better in a different sized top and bottom. Sizing&Fit: I wear a 36B bra, bottoms size 10 currently, so I ordered up based on others' reviews. I got an XL, and it's just right. However, I have a really long torso compared to my leg length, and the bottoms still ride a bit too high for me, hitting a little less than an inch from the bottom of the top in the front, almost looks like I'm wearing a one piece - perhaps that's more towards the vintage style? *Note, in the pictures, I've rolled the bottoms down a bit. In the back, the problem is worse - the place the bottoms hit on the top edge seems to emphasize my back fat, but if I fold the edge down an inch, it's PERFECT. Luckily, I sew, so I'm going to try and re-cut and re-hem the top edge of the bottoms - it's worth the effort and risk, for this great price! If I screw it up, I can still wear the top with different bottoms or just buy another one :P Quality: I'm super impressed with the top - the beautiful, bright tomato red fabric seems good quality, and the bustier is sewn well. All the seams are clean with no threads hanging, and the clasp on the top of the back are well-positioned and seem sturdy. The clasp does tilt just a bit when it's on (due to the way it's sewn in...could have been done better), but it's barely noticeable, and that's my only complaint! The bottoms are of lesser quality, but they're still good. Fabric is very stretchy and supple, and the folds across the front are good for anyone with curves in that area. All-in-all, this is a fantastic buy if not only for the price then for the style and quality. Just order one size up, and you should be good!
