I'm so disappointed because this is a really cute swimsuit, and I really wanted it to work. The design is adorable and the textured fabric feels like good quality, but the fit on the bottoms is completely off. Instead of the low-waist look shown on the model, these bottoms are super high-waisted. If you're short or petite, the fabric pulls up almost past your belly button. You honestly need to be 5'7" or taller to make this a flattering cut, so if you're on the shorter side, I'd recommend looking for a different style.

Then I remembered that summer is short and I have spent too many years wearing swimsuits that look like they were designed by a committee of people who hate fun. So I put it on. And honestly? I felt great. Alarming, but great. This is the Zonsaoja string bikini set, and the textured fabric is what caught my attention. It is not that shiny, slippery material that makes everything slide around. It has a ribbed, almost scuba-like texture that feels substantial and actually stays where you put it. The halter ties let me adjust the fit exactly how I wanted, and the triangle coverage hit that sweet spot between scandalous and respectable enough for a family beach day. The bottoms are cheeky. I absolutely love this type of flower design and had to get this. It does not disappoint. It’s such a fun print and the pink is bright and vibrant. The flowers have a slightly raised feel to them which is nice. It’s a nice change from the typical smooth, satiny feel of swimsuits. This swimsuit is definitely one that is more of a showstopper rather than one to use during active water sports. It is perfect for lounging at the pool and hanging around the resort but you will definitely be using it at your own risk if you decide to wear it while wakeboarding or water skiing. One crash and there’s no telling if the strings will still be tied when you surface. 😜 Speaking of strings… this suit has four of them so it does take a bit of time to put it on. They do allow, however, a bit of adjustability compared to a non-tie swimsuit. The fit of the top is very nice. You can adjust the width of the triangles some to get your desired coverage. The cute flower charm in the middle is a nice touch. If you prefer not to have something dangling you could easily undo the wire ring it’s attached on and remove. I will say at first, I wasn’t liking the bottoms and was thinking that maybe they didn’t put any elastic in them or something as I couldn’t get them to fit the way I like so I came back to see if there were other sizes to see if that was the issue and that’s when I fully read the description. I was so excited with the pattern that I didn’t read the full description and didn’t realize these are “cheeky” bottoms. My 20-year-old self would be a-ok with them…. My 55-year-old self, not so much. So, although I will only be using the bottoms in the privacy of my back yard, I will wear the top all summer long with my board shorts. This truly is a fun, cute swimsuit that will catch people’s eyes. It has me excited for summer to get here!

I usually buy 4-5 new swimming suits each year, most of which are classic triangle tie-bikinis, so I have a pretty good idea about the fit, quality or design features I am looking for. I have never bought the Zonsaoja bikinis before, and so far it looks like I will buy more of their products. I packed it for my last short vacation. Wore it several times. I ordered the blue bikini, the color is pretty dark blue, not very bright, looks great with the textured white flowers that look almost like embroidery. There is a gold-colored flower detail on the bra in the same shape. The bikini is fully lined with thinner white fabric and there are removable bra pads that I do not use since the fabric is thick and there are two layers of lining in the top. The fabric is thick and has good elasticity, the seams are strong. Looks like I it will last. SIZING: I normally wear M in bottoms (size 8) and L/XL in tops (34DD). One of the reasons (other than elegant simplicity) I prefer triangle bikinis due to their easy adjustability. I would say the M bottoms would be great, but L provides more modest coverage, and can be worn higher on the hips. The bra fit is as expected for the size. Recommend.

I love this bikini in the blue and white! The fabric is soft, stretchy, and holds its shape nicely. The material is thicker, but not too thick for swimming and it's still comfortable to wear when it's wet. The embroidered floral texture is such a nice detail too, it gives it a more elevated, high-end look compared to a basic swimsuit. The fit is very flattering. It fit me well and I feel that it is true to size. The adjustable halter top makes it easy to get the perfect fit, and the removable padding is a nice option depending on how you want it to sit. The bottoms are equally great, the side ties allow you to adjust them comfortably, and the cut is meant to show off a little more in the back, and of your legs. I also love the little details like the metal beads and the center charm, though over time I think I might not like the center charm swinging around. This is perfect for anything from lounging by the pool to beach trips or vacations. It’s one of those swimsuits I'd feel confident wearing. The price is actually really good for what you are getting because overall I think this suit is made well, quality fabric, a beautiful design, and very flattering! Prices for swimsuits like this are typically a lot more expensive, so this really is a good deal.
