It had been raining in Icy Point & Sitka for several days before we arrived & the earth was plenty saturated. These shoes held up not only for waterproofing but also for traction. They are light weight so they don't overload you while you're walking. They are true to size. I got a 6.5 which is what I normally wear & they fit fine. I definitely approve of these boots. I purchased these in the past, love the warmth, and the waterproof, but I live on a very steep lawn, and while walking the dog, I really needed the treads on the bottom to help from falling, slipping, sliding. These work great.

Pleasantly surprised that the color was not as chocolate as shown in photo. Shoes are actually darker - almost black. I ordered a half size up and find they are short on the toe. Socks should remedy that.
