The dress itself fits amazing on my body. I'm typically a size 10 jeans. However, I have a bigger bust. Usually around 36Dto 38D. I was recommended a large dress which fits my body except for my chest, where the elastic part of the dress is actually on my chest area instead of my waist or just below the chest. But other than that, the material is great. It flows nicely its light and not hot. It's beautiful. I'm still gonna wear it. I'll make it work. But it's just not meant for big chested girls, that's all.

While this is a very pretty dress, the fit is off. and I had to return it It's described as "empire" which would mean the skirt would begin higher than a regular waisted dress. This is different. There is a large section of shirred or smocked fabric inserted just below the bust that extends to the gathered skirt at the waistline. The smocked section is tight, and the waistline sits a little higher than normal, creating an unflattering roll at the skirt. It might look good if you like smocking and are thinner. I'm 5'8" and ordered a large according the the sizing chart. An XL might have fit better, but I think that smocked area would have kept me squirming and sucking in so it laid correctly where the smocking meets the skirt. It's probably a dress you simply have to try to find out if it looks good on your body type, I was sorry to have to return it. It is a lovely pattern, the quality seemed fine, and was dressy enough to wear for a special occasion.

This dress fit perfectly! It is prettier on than the picture! I got a lot of compliments too! It's not sheer except for the bottom below the knee. It is true to size and fits well! I am 5'2" and it comes almost to the floor. It is perfect for what I need!
