I have been eyeing the designer version of these raffia slides for months, but I am so glad I went with GotSoft instead. These are the ultimate "summer vacation" shoe, they look incredibly expensive and feel like a dream on your feet. Why These Are a Summer Essential: Trend-Forward Design: The combination of the natural raffia texture and the gold metal chain is stunning. It’s the perfect mix of "beach casual" and "city sophisticated." Surprisingly Soft: Sometimes raffia can be scratchy, but the underside of these straps is lined with a smooth material that doesn’t rub or blister. The footbed has that signature "GotSoft" cushioning that makes them wearable for hours. The "Goldilocks" Heel: The chunky block heel is just high enough to give you a lift (making your legs look great in photos) but low and stable enough that you won't trip on a boardwalk or cobblestone street. Elevates Any Outfit: I’ve worn these with denim cutoffs and a t-shirt to look more polished, and with a floral maxi dress for a summer dinner. They are incredibly versatile. Fit & Quality Notes: True to Size: I ordered my usual size and they fit perfectly. The square toe gives your feet plenty of room to breathe without hanging off the edge. Durability: The metal chain has a nice weight to it, it doesn't feel like cheap plastic. The raffia is tightly woven and hasn't started fraying even after several wears to the beach. Style Tip: If you have a very narrow foot, the strap might feel a little loose, but for average to wide feet, it’s a perfect, secure fit. I have a very wide (DD) width foot. It is difficult to find width wide shoes in pretty styles. I have to find a particular style that works with my wide foot when wide width is not available. I struggle with finding sandals that work, and also don’t want it to look like my feet are being squeezed. These shoes are not wide width but the style works well with wide feet, and are extremely comfortable. I ordered a size 7 and they fit nicely. They are very stylish and have the look of an expensive designer sandal with a reasonable price. I love the raffia, chunky block heel, and open square toe design that is all the rage right now. I am short and like to try and wear a bit of a heel so as to dress up my summer look, but as I am getting older I also do not want to take a risk of a fall. This sandal has slight heel, so you get the dressed up look with out the risk of falling. These sandals have a slight heel for a fashionable look but very stable. It is winter, and the temperatures are very cold but I wore these in my home for a few hours and they are very comfortable. The sandal also comes with a soft bag for dust protection while storing. The attractive gold accents are shipped with a protective cover to keep them from getting damaged during shipped. The price is reasonable for high-end expensive look.

Shoes in a similar style were the rage when I was a kid and now they're back, big time, and with lots of interesting innovation that makes them a brand new thing. This pair of raffia shoes is so extremely versatile in its style, material/look and color. The neutral color and style can be paired with a huge portion of anyones wardrobe to dress pieces up or down. These are well made and comfortable. I was a little concerned about the comfort when looking at the listing, but the toe strap is nicely lined. The foot bed is slightly cushioned and also extremely comfortable, which was a little surprising. Heel height is just perfect and the chunkiness of the heel keeps my foot and ankle very stable, and keeps fatigue at bay. These are true to size and fit well. The chunky chain links on the top are a nicely done embellishment that make this shoe straddle the dressy/casual fence like a pro. Great quality and value. Recommended.
