The eternal search for the multi-functional, wear-everywhere-do-anything summer pants is now over. I have found them. First, I am a young 40 year old, so anyone reading this under senior citizen status, don't be put off by the brand. This brand has ah-mazing clothes, you just have to dig through a bit. These pants are incredible. They fit well, and if you wash them on cold, let them hang dry, they are good as new, never shrink. They fit true to size, and are incredibly comfortable because of the generous "give" in the thighs and down the legs. The elastic waist might be off-putting to you, but just wear something to cleverly camoflague it if you are that concerned -- I really am not because I could care less what people think, so long as I feel good -- I think if you exude confidence, no one is looking at your elastic waist and thinking "OMG she is wearing ELASTIC?! --fake fainting episode--." You can wear these pants without rolling the legs up, but at 5'8", I find they make a very odd looking tapered leg, so I keep them rolled up. That said, I can dress them up, dress them down, and they are also the perfect pants for work at home days, quick runs to town, dog walking, and anytime I leave the house, really, because they look more put together than sweatpants and yet I don't have to spend hours getting ready. GET A PAIR. Or better yet... buy two. One for you and one for your friend who also cares more about comfort than being fashion forward. We all have that friend. These fit in all the right places. I usually wear 18 or 20 and I got a size 20. They are a bit baggy and flattering all at the same time. The material is airy and perfect for a hot day. So far the material seems durable, but it is a bit tight when I bend over. This hasn't kept me from wearing them in active situations (I work with kids). Comfortable pants. Fit great. Maybe a little longer than expected, but it still works. The only problem I have with these pants is the pockets are so shallow. My phone will not stay in the pocket without falling out whenever I sit down, and my keys fall out 40% of the time.

I love the wide comfortable elastic band. The ample length is superb for my almost 36 inch inseam. The gun metal color is great and looks better in real life. They will be worn for numerous occasions and or gardening. There are large pockets on the side of each leg which will secure the phone and or note pad and pen. The legs are loose fitting and overall they are extremely comfortable. They would work well for traveling, too. I will be ordering other colors. Thanks ... show more

Edited again after more wears. I will no longer buy or recommend these pants. They are almost the only brand/type of pants I’ve worn for six or more years, but they have become unwearable. The fabric used to be a soft cotton, and now the threads are much thicker and it feels more like a corduroy fabric. Even after many washes and wears these pants cause chafing in one day (and sometimes in less than a whole work day!) I’ve attached a close up picture as an example of the different fabric/stitching. The green pair are the older style, I’ve had them for more than a year (so bought in 2024). The navy pants are my most recent purchase, a few months ago (bought late 2025). Edited after wearing multiple times: I’m down rating these pants. The new fabric blend has caused chafing and irritation while wearing. I’m planning to wash them many times to try and soften the fabric and remove any irritants, before attempting to wear again. Original review: I have purchased these pants many times over the last few years. They are the only pants I normally wear. But I have bought them for the last time. About a year ago I got a new pair, and instead of the nice, soft fabric I was used to on these pants, the fabric was stiff, itchy, and much heavier. Almost a corduroy material. They felt like completely different pants, although the tag still says 100% cotton. I thought it must have been a one-time oddity, but I just purchased these pants again, multiple colors, and again it's the heavier, stiffer fabric. The pants are no longer as easy to move in; they cause chafing now (when they didn't previously), they feel heavier when wearing, and the fabric is much thicker. After wearing almost no other brand, size, or style of pants for multiple years, I've purchased my last pair of these. They're no longer comfortable. ... show more

Really adorable and comfortable pant. I'm normally a size 16 but usually wear a 14 pant. Thought I could get away with the14W, but it is slightly too small. If I lose 5lbs or so, they will fit marvelously. These are light weight and perfect for summer with either a trainer or a sandal. The color is as shown in the pictures (Indigo). The fit is accurate and the item is comfortable; however, the side pockets and cargo pockets are so short that a cell phone won't fit in either one. The side pockets are so shallow that items constantly fall out when sitting in your car. These have gone in the donate pile.
