I pre-ordered as I was so excited to see women designers were to be featured, as women have been sorely overlooked in the design professions. Sadly, I am very disappointed with the book that I received. Many of the most influential women designers and designer/makers are not included or mentioned, and there are a number of women who are in the book whose work is really derivative of other designers. There are of course, also many brilliant women designers represented, but the important omissions and unevenness of the selections are both very disappointing. The book reads more like a catalogue, with an image and a brief bio on each included designer. This could have been so much more! ... show more
