I have two IWC watches, my wife has one Patek. This winder is battery powered, great for locating on a shelf (power cord optional, didn’t use it). Super quiet. Keeps aches at 100%. Looks great. Only downside is the loading mechanism (basically, compressed foam) is oversized for small wrists. This means it is difficult to properly mount the band, but it can be done (but it does put the closed band under stress). This is a smart and quiet winder that does what is supposed to do - wind your watches . If you're looking for a showy display case with lights, digital controls and poor craftsmanship than this is not a good choice. Be patient during the first few days of operation , there are sleep cycles that makes the winder appear to be non-operational. This watch winder is gorgeous! It looks very expensive and the black leather is beautiful. The unit is utterly quiet as others have stated. It is also very easy to set-up and has a flashing light to let you know it’s working. If your going to use batteries be advised it requires 8 AA batteries not 4 like stated in description. If you have automatic watches that need to be wound properly and look gorgeous in the process this is your winder. It also comes with a 2 year warranty from Wolf. The packaging it comes in is also very nice. This product completely exceeded all my expectations! Very well constructed and packaged. Wrapped in a linen clothe. It is extremely silent, heavy and beautiful. Light flashes gently when the watch is not moving so that you know that it is on but not rotating. It can run on either batteries (4 X AA) or plugged into an outlet. The power adapter is included. I have mine running without batteries installed and just plugged into a standard outlet. If the power goes out it does not need to be reset. I think it's great. ... show more

I purchased this as a birthday present for my husband. His nicer watches need winding and he was getting tired of them slowing down or shutting off if he had not worn them in a while. It works great and looks good. When I reviewed a bunch of watch winders, the recommendation was to find ones where the watches are straight and not at an angle. What a shame. This is pure garbage. Thought I was stepping up with Wolf. Avoid this wonder. Parts are cheap and barely stay in place. The cuff is terrible. Very disappointed. Will stick to the cheap winders, for more than half the price one can get the same junk.
