It looks pretty good once it's fully built and feels sturdy, but I do have two chief complaints. 1. There's no easy way to lift the lid. There's no cut out or recessed access for easily lifting the lid, you'll have to fidget around to get underneath it. But the the mechanism for opening and closing the lid is quite solid and feels very sturdy. 2. Nut that holds the lifting mechanism was missing for one side. It's standard enough that I was able to find a replacement at a local hardware shop, but for the money they should really do a better job at QA. Also, LOTS of styrofoam. expect to find styrofoam EVERYWHERE after you clean up because they will break and stick to EVERYTHING. ... show more

It was very easy to assemble the coffee table. My daughter and I were able to get it completed in less than an hour. We were going to return it because I ordered the grey one and we got the brown one but we decided to just use it in a different room with different furniture. This affordable coffee table is just was I was looking for. It was quite time consuming to assemble and definitely needed to be reassembled a few times due to user error. Overall the table is cute and fits with our home decor. It is very cheap so naturally the quality reflects it in some areas. 1. The top lifts up to a table. It does work but is very wobble and needs to be lifted with two hands or else if feels like it might snap 2. The legs are a weird almost cardboard material (different than the rest of the table) but they arenโ€™t too noticeable once assembled since they are near the the ground. 3. When finished assembling there are holes/ visible screws. The company provides stickers that somewhat match to cover the holes. From a distance it is not noticeable but just worth mentioning. The color changes depending on lighting so I tried to capture it in my pictures. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. The quality obviously isnโ€™t that of a solid wood table but for the price I am very happy with the quality! ... show more

I really like this table, it was very easy for me, a non-athletic 30 year old woman, to assemble by myself, and I love the height it lifts up to as well as the storage. My only complaint is that when you go to push the top of the table back down flat, it tends to go really fast and slam shut, so you have to watch your fingers and be careful if you have young children using it because they might get a finger stuck. ... show more

Our home has a relatively small living room, and I wanted a table that could work as a desk or place to eat if needed. Overall, this piece came together pretty quickly - I only needed help turning the table right-side up after attaching the legs. I'm happy with the smaller footprint and storage space this model offers. The lifting portion tends to "slam" when lowered, so it needs to be well supported when stowing in the down position. Otherwise everything is as I expected from the product listing and reviews. Construction tips: - I have some experience building furniture from kits but am generally a novice with tools and household "fix-it" tasks. This was well within my ability. - I used a manual screwdriver, which was sufficient (but a bit of a workout). - Read ALL of the instructions before starting. This will help you understand how things will go together. - As others noted, you need to tighten the screws for the lift arms after reattaching them. - Pay attention to the "finished" edge for the panels - it's easy to accidentally attach them upside down (pretty much everything else only works in one direction). - Keep an eye on the grain for the top piece to ensure you install it in the matching direction. ... show more
