So far, they've held up nicely. The bracket wasn't the easiest to secure to the boat. The wing nuts are a bit frustrating to tighten. They could be a little bigger and tighten faster, but they work. Wouldn't recommend leaving these seats out in the weather year-round. Rain and heat will eventually take a toll because they're not the best made. But they'll be good ones with a little TLC. ... show more

Ordered two of these seats... love them... easy to install and make fishing for a few hours at a time so, so much more comfortable. I've had them on my boat for three years now, used at least 3-4 times a month and still feel great... I'm a big, heavyset guy and they are holding up better than i could have hoped... very sturdy and well built... don't foresee them ever breaking, but if they did ( or more likely, if the seat pads ever wear), I'll gladly buy another. ... show more

    • comfortable for my big butt
this is my 2nd wise chair in the last 4yrs. first chair is still in good shape but, the cushion is flat. we go canoeing at least one day a week from march to oct. this is a great seat and holds my 255 lb butt just fine and 4yrs ago held my 300+lb butt just fine then too. plenty of back support which is important since I had back surgery and need a lot of support. we go canoeing for 8-12hrs and these are comfortable all day long. well worth the money! ... show more

The seat is nice and comfortable BUT it’s made with a steel snap to secure it closed. The snap rusted together and is now useless. You would think a boat seat manufacturer would realize boat are around water and that steel rust.
