I was skeptical about how strong these would be due to the fact the bolts go into plastic. This seems to be a failure point for other reviewers. So far they have held up to three trips out on the water. Me and my wife are not exactly small people either. I installed them on a swivel and base on my 12’ Sun Dolphin. So far, they've held up nicely. The bracket wasn't the easiest to secure to the boat. The wing nuts are a bit frustrating to tighten. They could be a little bigger and tighten faster, but they work. Wouldn't recommend leaving these seats out in the weather year-round. Rain and heat will eventually take a toll because they're not the best made. But they'll be good ones with a little TLC. ... show more

The seat is nice and comfortable BUT it’s made with a steel snap to secure it closed. The snap rusted together and is now useless. You would think a boat seat manufacturer would realize boat are around water and that steel rust.
