This holds your phone in place exceptionally well. The charging is slow, but that could have more to do with the cord, the charging port, etc. My car is 13 years old. Installation was super easy right out of the box — definitely a plus. The Wireless Car Charger Phone Holder has a premium feel and mounted securely. It’s sturdy, doesn’t bounce around while driving like some of the cheaper phone holders out there, and overall does a great job holding the phone in place. However, there is one major drawback: while the product description claims it’s a fast charger, that hasn’t been the case in my experience. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and unfortunately, the charging speed is just standard — not fast. At 25% battery, it estimated around 2 hours to fully charge, which doesn’t line up with what you'd expect from a true fast charger. If you're buying this primarily for the fast charging capability, you may be disappointed. But if you're just looking for a solid, well-built phone holder with wireless charging as a bonus, it's still a decent choice — just manage your expectations regarding charge speed. ... show more

I was surprised to find out that this holder uses electric motors to open and close the holder. I was even more surprised to find out that it still works without power, which means it has a battery in it. That's really cool but I'm not sure it's actually such a great idea. With a conventional spring-loaded mechanism, the phone is instantly grabbed the moment it's pressed on the back, ideal for charging. With this one, you may have to hold the phone in place for a second while the motors grab the phone. If you just drop the phone in place then it may not be resting all the way against the back so it won't charge well. Also, the auto close only works when the power is on.
