My first afternoon with these snowshoes was a great experience. The shoes are light and the poles adjusted perfectly. I had zero problems with any straps, bindings, poles, or the screw on snow baskets/bails loosening up. Unfortunately, figuring out how to adjust the bindings the first time was no fun, just as other reviewers reported. It would have helped if the manufacturer had included a simple drawing of the workings of the buckles. It seems obvious after you get it right though. Here’s what you need to do: 1. Slide the ridged strap between the entire ratchet mechanism and the receiving strap it’s attached to. 2. Push it in until one or more ridges click in. 3. Pull up on the ratchet mechanism to feed in the ridged strap bump by bump until it snugs up on your boot. ... show more

The snowshoes I ordered were advertised to hold up to 260 lbs. The snowshoes I received are rated to hold up to 200 lbs. This is not what was in the advertisement.

Compared to other snowshoes I've used...these ones are okay. Everything is fine on them aside for, I don't care for the heel strap. The heel strap doesn't seem to want to stay notched sometimes. When your out in the cold rubber doesn't like to stay stretchy (big shocker). So when the heel strap comes un-notched and I have to fix it..it's hard to get it back on the same hole. ... show more
