    • Sturdy and holds more than you might think
I bought this after getting a lot of bar items from our recent wedding and not having a designated space for it all. This fit the bill perfectly. The storage areas with doors hold all our wine glasses and as you can see a basket holds the spare k-cups on one side and bar items on the other. All our furniture and flooring is cherry/red, and although the color is a little darker, it still looks great and isn’t a huge difference. Putting it together wasn’t too bad, I put it together myself (my husband runs out of patience and I’m pretty darn handy) and is very sturdy and easy to follow directions. The best part for me is the doors fit perfectly with no gaps or adjustments needed, which if you have ever put together this type of thing before, is a friggin miracle. The dimensions advertised were correct. The item arrived as stated and needed to be put together. It takes a bit to assemble but the end product is worth it. I'm very pleased with the look and the design. This dry-sink/buffet gives me a lot more storage and organization in my office. (don't mind the mess in the photo... still setting it up) ... show more

    • Not perfect, but very solid and great quality for the price
Great quality for the price. The pieces didn't 100% line up but it went together just fine. The end result looks very nice and functions very well. Due to the slight misalignments, one of the doors sticks a little bit, but it's hardly noticeable and if I were patient enough, I could probably fix this by loosening the screws, readjusting the pieces, and then securing them back into place. The end result is very sturdy and looks quite nice. Large amount of storage space, although I wish the drawer was a bit bigger (it's rather shallow) or one of the wine racks were another drawer. I was also hoping to store my serving trays in here, but there's no single compartment wide enough. The assembly wasn't difficult and while I'm sure it would be easier with 2 people, I had no issues assembling it on my own. I took advice from other reviewers and laid out all the pieces first, putting sticky note labels on them before beginning assembly; if you do this then do yourself a favor and label them with the letter they're assigned (A, B, C, etc.) and not just the name (Left Panel, Right Panel, etc). There is no text in the instructions, only pictures, so pay close attention to the details of which side a hole/groove is. In a few cases, not all the hardware used is actually shown, but you can see the holes in the physical pieces and infer the rest. There are wooden dowels to help align pieces and they're press-fit into the pieces. I recommend using a hammer to force them securely into one of the pieces before assembling it with the other. The only true issue I had were the screw holes for the magnetic catches (for the doors). The holes were a bit too close together for the actual magnetic catch mounting holes. This wasn't a showstopper since that alignment was less critical and the screws were small enough that it was easy to fix so it was little more than annoying. A few of the pieces had slight imperfections, but nothing serious. The thin panels (that go in the back) had some visible damage / roughness around the edges but once assembles it's 100% hidden by the slots that these thin panels slide into. One side panel had a shallow scratch in it and the top piece had a small mar on the underside. For the price though, I didn't expect absolutely perfect pieces and this is still more solid and better quality than I expected. It's almost half the price of most comparable sideboards so to me, the cost savings was well worth the slightly less quality.     • Nice Product - Poor assembly instructions
If this is your first assembly project do not buy this item. The instructions are awful! First there are just pictures and it is hard to determine left/ right back/front or top/bottom. I installed the wine rack upside down but that worked for me because I wanted to use them for shelves anyway because I am using this item as a TV stand in my bedroom. This is made worse by the fact that even though the instructions use letters to denote different pieces there is no markings on the pieces to correspond to the instructions. The pictures aren't detailed enough to see if one piece has grooves and another does not. The instructions say it is a two person job and it is not one person can do this fairly easily. The hardest part of the assembly was attaching the wine rack assembly to the top. I managed to get the piece assembled through trial and error but it wasn't fun removing and reassembling when i realized that one piece was more appropriate than another. Some of the pieces are more flimsy than other pieces. I accidentally stepped on on of the boards laying on my carpet and it marred it, luckily it was the bottom piece and on the underside so no major harm done.I have to say I was impressed with the way the doors attached to the piece - easy peasy. It looks nice assembled and I am pleased with the end product, but it would have been so much easier if someone would have taken the time to mark the pieces my only saving grace was the fact that I have assembled many products in the past and had some prior knowledge how some of these things work. ... show more
