It's important to read all of the description and directions for this one! This will not chill a warm bottle in a quick manner, but if you put a pre-chilled bottle in it AFTER opening, it works great for red wine. It is open at the top and doesn't cover the entire bottle, so I would be hesitant to even try it with a full bottle or a bottle of white wine, but for keeping an open bottle of red cool, it does just what I wanted. The fridge is too cold for reds, but I will definitely continue keeping my whites there instead. I also really like that it says there is a year warranty, but they offered an extra six months for signing up on their website... BUT it's pretty impossible to reach anyone and there is absolutely no link or info about warranties on the site, so I am not at all confident about getting a response if I ever do need to use the warranty. Fingers crossed that it keeps working!

The original system did not work for us. We followed the fairly explicit directions but, it just didn't. We contacted Amazon and the folks at Cobalance to either find out what we could do to fix it or get a replacement (it was a birthday gift for my hubby). It took them a little while to get back to us, but they replaced the machine - at no cost to us. This one works as it should and we are very happy with both the cooler and the customer service!

Does a great job of keeping chilled wine at the perfect desired temperature. The chiller is easy to use and takes up little counter space. The size is nice to store in a closet. It can chill an entire bottle of wine but it is not a rapid chiller so it will take longer than chilling it in refrigerator. Fits standard wine bottle. We did have a one slightly oversized very thick glass bottle that did not fit but that was to be expected. Overall great item for those hard to buy for wine lovers.

So, here is a neat idea. The wine chiller also fits the standard size coffee creamer. In the morning I take the coffee creamer out of the refrigerator and put it in the wine chiller next to the coffee pot. Then when we have had all the coffee we want for the morning, we turn off the chiller and put the creamer back in the refrigerator.

If you're not drinking your wine at the proper temperature for that varietal, you're not getting your money's worth in your glass. We have used this chiller several times in the six weeks since purchase. It is easy to use and chills with accuracy to the selected temperature. (we measured the wine temp with a kitchen thermometer the first couple of uses.) Our previous chiller (which is a discontinued brand) was kept hidden in the cupboard when not in use. This one is nice enought to leave out with the other countertop appliances.
