I have two gates on either side of my house. One is solid and the other a iron gate you can see thru from the street. I want privacy from both. This fits the bill. I covered the back with this green screen and the front of this iron gate has the one with the leaves. The problem with the one with leaves is that the wind takes them off over time and leaves no cover (I find the leaves all over my yard). With this new windscreen on the back it (1) blocks the wind that takes off the leaves and I hope that will keep them there longer which gives a nice look to the gate from the front, (2) I chose the GREEN windscreen and it actually gives more green background to the cover in the front with leaves and actually makes them look like there are more leaves, and (3) provides the privacy I wanted and no one can see into my yard now. I can't comment on the length of time this screen will last as it's only been on for about a month. But, I will say that the size was perfect and there were plenty of grommets. The hem and sewing looks sturdy. I will have to see how many hot summers it will take and if it will survive the wind. I live in the high desert and we get hot, dry summers and windy evenings. So far, so good. So happy with this product that I ordered another one for, if and when, this one degrades. It was very easy to install on my gate with the zip ties I already had. ... show more

What did I dislike? Hmm That it was really hot outside when I was installing it with my wife's assistance. Look, you unfold it and lay it out on the ground by the fence. Tie down the end down in the corner end of the fence and then pull it tight at the other end. Use the black plastic ties through the eyeholes along the top and bottom. Starting the plastic ties at the bottom and then pull it up tight at the top and tie it there. It took about 2 1/2 hours to install two 50' pieces. Looks so good when we finished. Very sturdy. The metal grommets seem sturdy. Had this screen for a month and has held up to the strong winds in NY. So far I’ve used the weed eater near it and hasn’t damaged it thou I’m sure when the sun weakens it over the years it may get damaged but so far holds up to strong winds and occasional weed eater hitting it. Great at minimizing the ability to see thru it which is wonderful and still allows wind to flow thru it. Pay close attention to the length options. I didn’t realize they come in a multitude of lengths and so I was able to better order the right length that I need without being short or have an excess amount which is wonderful. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I helped my husband by pulling the material on the top while he added the tie wraps that by the way i didn't realize this came with its own straps but the ones that we bought were way thicker we figured they were more sturdier and would last longer. So we worked our way all the way down the fence just strapping the top material first and then I let him finish the rest of it pulling the material down and strapping all along the bottom. As far as the sheerness goes it's not really that see through you have to look really hard to see through it so I like that and we said that it was impressive in the heading because it really is my husband just keeps looking at it saying wow we paid a good price for this and it really did come out nice just pull it nice and tight while you're strapping it if you mess up cut one off and do it again just take that little extra time to make sure it's nice and tight and the way you like it and it looks like it's going to last a long time so we'll see. The only thing that sucked was that we had a cut a lot of branches from our neighbors backyard I'm worried that something's going to pop through it eventually but again we'll see. ... show more

I have the world's ugliest "friendly neighbor" fence plus, a rude dog. Upon researching ways to prevent my dog from harassing my neighbors, I stumbled across this product. I thought to myself, why the heck did I never think of this in the past 7 years I've hated looking at this horrendous fence!?!?! I was able to put this up by myself in an hour. I am extremely happy with the aesthetic aspect and the fact that I don't have to look at my neighbors when we both happen to be out at the same time.
