I've was impressed the first time I played using wilson NXT 16. The feel was very good. It was very responsive and I get a lot of spin out of it. By far that was the best feel of any string I've played with. The only down fall of that string is that it doesn't last very long. During the summer, I play 3-4 times a week and the string barely lasted 3 months. IT was about to break at 2 months. I have 2 rackets strung with the same string. I used them alternately. If I only had one racket then I'm pretty sure it wouldn't last 2 months. So, I wouldn't want to look for an alternative for the string because I actually like playing with this one. So I decided try a thicker gauge and see whether it would last longer than the NXT 16. I've hit a couple of times with this string already and the feel was excellent. I was afraid that the thicker gauge would make the string less playable. I haven't played with it a lot so I will update the post on how long this string lasted but so far the feel is great. So smooth!!! Its like hitting a tennis ball coated with butter!!! If this string would last longer then this would be my new go to string! ... show more

I have used 16gauge for many years just because they are more durable. Once in a while, for kicks, i use 17gauge. After 3 or 4 years of 16, last month I got my rackets strung with the 17. I did notice the improved bite on the ball and more feel in the racket as though the strings were pocketing the ball deeper. I know that might just be my imagination, but nevertheless, I liked the thinner strings. ... show more

Strung it at about 58 pounds on my head graphene touch speed pro and it worked very nice! I was getting good pop on the ball and the thinner gage helped me get more topspin! Great feel up at the net, especially on volleys, good feel from the baseline as well. The string started to fray after about 1 week while I was hitting hard from the baseline. Then the second week the string broke which I expected. In addition, this string is also friendly on the arm so if you have any arm problems would definitely get this string! 😊 ... show more

My doctor diagnosed me with tennis elbow three months ago. I did shock wave therapy, exercise for my arm and tendons. It didn’t work. I had to stop of playing tennis for six weeks. The only thing that helped me is switching to the NXT soft strings. I have used this strings with 50 pounds of tension by two weeks. Now, I don’t feel pain in my arm and elbow anymore. This string is either not real Wilson NXT or it is significantly degraded in some way. Real Wilson NXT string will fray long before it breaks and lasts me for dozens of matches, but this string snaps after about 2 matches, never lasting more than 4. Real Wilson NXT lasts longer than all my other strings, but whatever this is, it is the worst of all my strings. Save yourself time and money and buy this somewhere else. ... show more
