The Wilson Men's Rush Pro Ace Wide Tennis Shoes continue the strong tradition of the Rush Pro 3.0 and 3.5. The Ace has the same outsole as the above- mentioned models, and the upper is constructed of a breathable mesh, which offers strong ventilation and support. To enhance the shoe's stability, Wilson added the 4D Support Chassis and to cushion and protect the heel, they incorporated the RDST + EVA construction. The RP Ace is the perfect shoe for a recreational tennis or pickleball player. Compared with the Rush Pro 4.0, the Ace has a more spacious toe box. Upper: Constructed of breathable mesh, the upper balances breathability with support. Midsole:R-DST+utilizes highly compressed EVA material for dynamic cushioning and rebound. The 4D Support Chassis is an asymmetrical, heel-to-toe chassis that delivers enhanced stability, and limits supination and torsion. This helps players control pivot movements while setting up for powerful strokes. Outsole: The all- courtDuralastoutsole provides excellent durability and traction. Designed for hard court usage. First, I should say that these shoes are becoming increasingly difficult to find depending on your shoe size. I use them for pickleball (I play at a 3.5 level). They are true to size, and are a great option if you like a slightly wider shoe. They are comfortable and offer great traction and stability. By far the best pickleball shoe I have owned (asics, skechers, kswiss)...and it's not even close. Fit is spot on with a very nice sized toe box. They provide outstanding lateral support while also providing excellent cushion. Replace the very thin insoles with something with a little more cushion and these are absolute money. My son is a high school tennis player. He gets a new pair or two of tennis shoes every spring. We bought these shoes last year and he really liked them and asked for me to buy him the same pair. So I guess these work great.

Love these shoes. have been wearing them for a few years now and they have held up, other than the tread which wears out on all my tennis shoes. Very comfortable with nice fit and grip...I will purchase them again and they look great!

    • Wider than average forefoot, but not the most durable outsole

I've gone through 3 pairs of these shoes for playing pickleball before deciding to write this review. Despite that, I won't be continuing to purchase this shoe due to the durability of the outsole. My initial purchase was based on finding a shoe that fits my medium to wide forefoot. The Wilson Rush Pro Ace shoes offer a slightly wider fitting in a normal width shoe without needing to order the wide version; and indeed they were. There was ample room in the forefoot that allowed my toes to spread out and have some room without feeling squeezed in. The othrolite insoles are really thin and don't offer any cushioning or support. I threw them out and I highly recommend you purchase a good set of sport insoles. For fit, these shoes were really good. I purchased the last two pairs to work into a 3 shoe rotation, taking at least a day off between each wear. I wore them for pickleball, 2 hour sessions 5-6 times a week. As part of that rotation, they got worn max 2 times a week . Sadly these shoes do not last very long. The midsole cushioning isn't he best and starts to show creases pretty quickly. This leads to a little more court feel at the expense of cushioning and support as they break down. Insoles seemed to help with that, but by month 3 I was starting to feel some foot soreness at the end of each session. However the durability is what ultimately killed these shoes for me. The outsole isn't very durable and wears down really fast. Flat spots started to show up within a couple weeks, and by month 4 would have already worn a hole through the outsole in a couple of places leading me to retire them. Pickleball and tennis are played on a sandpaper like surface, but I expect a little more durability from my shoe that's only being worn twice a week. For example, for a while I was using Kswiss Hypercourt Express 2 and could get 6 months out of the shoes before I wore through the midsole at the same frequency. Therefore these shoes are not a good value for me. I have moved on to exclusively purchasing court shoes that come with a 6th month outsole warranty from certain retailers (not on amazon). For just $20-30 more, you can get the Wilson Rush Pro 4.5 with a similar fit (hair longer and narrower) but that shoe comes with a 6 month outsole warranty. The durability of the outsole is about the same and the cushioning is better, and I can get a free replacement within 6 months; effectively getting the shoes for half price. ... show more
