This is a great starter volleyball with the soft cover, but should be limited to indoor. The soft cover cannot handle rough play on concrete, bouncing off a wall, etc. That's the only reason it would lose 1 star.

This volleyball is on the lighter side, but is well made and plays very well. We've used it on a concrete pad, and after a few weeks, it's still showing no signs of wear, which is very surprising given the rough surface it's been bouncing on.
