I purchased this for my work & for the price. I'm a wardrobe manager on a show and work on costumes at home. I got mine on a special for really, really cheap. I knew what to expect since I own one already. When it arrived it was a better quality than I expected. It's easy to assemble just make sure to use a mallet to assist in getting the poles into place tightly. I use mine daily for laundry. I load it up with wet costumes and place it on the balcony for items to dry. I like the way this one adjust for the height with metal push nubs much more secure then my older one with plastic flip locks(I've hade it about 8 years now). Yes, this rack is challenging to maneuver when loaded and yes, it feels flimsy when you're trying to roll it loaded up but what would one expect when only paying under $20 for a clothing rack?! If you're rolling it on a carpet it more tricky than a hard surface floor. It serves its purpose well. I plan on purchasing a couple more for my shop and I would recommend them to anyone thinking about purchasing. NOTE: The support poles at the bottom are the key to balance on these racks. When looking for the right rack look for 2 or 4 support poles that are placed far apart. This particular one has 2 a good distance (approx. 9.5"), my older one has 2 that are only about 3' apart causing it to be more flimsy and harder to maneuver. PICTURE: This is in the lowered setting. The product is perfect for what I need. The pin in the latch continued to fall out. I returned it and replaced it with another, and that one did the same thing. Easy assembly. The wheel are perfect for moving around to where you need throughout the day.

At least for me it wasn't sturdy at all! I only wanted it for business shirts and just 10 shirts make the rack lean side ways..The medal bars on the bottom of the rack fall off. The five star rating is for Whitmor Customer Service. The rack is easy to assemble, fold, and move around, but I have not used it to hang anything yet. As many reviewers have noted, the locking connectors do not work, so the vertical rods kept sliding down. The difference for me is that I got excellent customer service. Last night I described the problem and requested replacement online via the link supplied by amazon for product support. 9:01am this morning I got email from Colleen Bonanno of Whitmor Customer Service stating that two replacements will take 5 to 7 days to arrive. 10:07am I got UPS tracking number for the 2 locking connectors. I'm grateful to Whitmor Customer Service and I look forward to receiving the replacement parts so I can use the rack. Thank you Colleen Bonanno for your fast response! ... show more

I bought this garment rack to make it easier to hang clothes straight from the dryer, and it definitely serves that purpose. Assembly was quick and straightforward, and the overall build quality feels better than I expected. It is also surprisingly lightweight, which makes it easy to move around as needed. Another positive is the amount of clothing it can hold. I was able to hang a substantial number of items without any issues, making laundry day much more convenient. Unfortunately, stability is a major weakness. While the rack can hold a lot of clothes, it feels very unstable and is prone to tipping over if you're not careful. The lightweight design is great for portability, but it comes at the cost of sturdiness. A small bump or uneven weight distribution can make it feel wobbly, and I've had it fall over more than once. First, I love this product and it is 100% worth it. But I'll mention the concerns ahead of the pros. CONS: The manueverability of the rack when it is filled with clothes is not great. IF YOU DO move it with many clothes on the rack, BEWARE to put pressure down on the wheels to keep the legs apart. Otherwise there is a risk that the weight of the clothes will cause it to tip and collapse the legs together and fall over completely. However, this isn't much if a con for me as I'm only using it as a temporary place to put my clothes while they are drying or I am steaming them, so I am generally not using it to move around/transport clothes. It is primarily stationary. PROS: I absolutely love that it is collapsible and portable. I can easily put it in my closet when it's not being used. There are brakes on it to keep it in place. It was easy to assemble. It is easy to adjust WITHOUT clothes on it. I would advise against trying to adjust anything while clothes are hung on the rack. Overall, It works for what I need it to do, which is a place to hold my clothes when they are drying/steaming before putting them in my closet. ... show more
