I tried 3 pairs of wide toe box shoes, I have trouble finding any because I have narrow feet. These are the best of three and actually look pretty good. I got the gray. There's enough of a sole that they're not like barefoot shoes, which a lot of the wide toe box sneakers are. They feel substantial, not cheap. I did add a Dr Scholl's arch support insole since there's more than enough room for my foot, a sock and the insole. They are true to size, I wear an 8.5 in running shoes but buy a 9 so my toes aren't mashed. These are a bit big, but I think smaller would be too small with a heavier sock. I like a good arch support and cushion/support, so these may not be what you're looking for in a barefoot type shoe, but I will use them mainly for travel so my feet aren't cramped into pointy toe running shoes for long periods of time. Update: I took these on a 2 week cold weather cruise, and have to say they're not as supportive as I would like, but few shoes are other than expensive ones. I was comfortable on long walks (I put a pair of Dr Scholl's arch support sports insoles in them, I tried my VA supplied inserts and they fit but were uncomfortable) and the wide toe box doesn't look weird like duck feet. Really like these shoes! They are very comfortable for my feet. They are relatively cute (just basic and plain) and lightweight. The wide toe box is perfect and the zero drop encourages my feet to become stronger as opposed to relying on the support of the shoes. The only thing that’s a little challenging is the sizing. I usually wear a 9.5 which is normally a 40. These shoes list a size 9 as 40 and I’d say they are right between a typical 9 and 9.5. I’d try a 10, but I’m afraid they’d be way too big. So far, I love these shoes! Been wearing them for about 5 days now. They fit comfortably, truly have a wide toe box unlike others who just claim they do, and most importantly, they don’t seem to bother my plantar fasciitis.

These aren’t really wide enough to be considered a true barefoot shoe. I had to size up to get it to not pinch my toes. I don’t think it’s truly a zero drop sole either. The heels definitely feels thicker than the toe. It’s fine if I’m wearing them for a couple hours but if I wear them all day my feet ache horribly. They do look nice, more like a real tennis shoe but I don’t think the quality is great for how they make your feet feel. ... show more

I suffer from extreme pain from plantar fasciitis. Bought all the "official plantar fasciitis shoes" that cost $150 on up. They all sit on my rack. Altras were the only ones that worked but that cost $159. Saw Whitin shoes, zero drop and the PRICE. Could such a low priced shoe really work?? Tried it and I'm floored by its quality, simplicity and comfort. It doesn't have any support insole built up like the main players but it surprisingly did not matter. It's lightweight, beautiful elegant design and pure comfort even for my aching feet at ONLY $50. Most mornings I can't even walk without limping in pain. When I put these on, it distributes my weight properly and lines my feet up and somehow that eases away the pain. Well ventilated, my feet feel dry and I can wear it all day. They are so comfy is sometimes forget to change into my outdoor Altras when I go for walks. For this price, I am getting more and buying some for my elderly mom who suffers from foot pain. This glowing review is not solicited from anyone. Just wanted to show how much this product helped my pain. No need to drop hundreds on shoes when this one does way better in every way. The WHITIN Women's Wide Toe Box Road Running Shoe has been working out great for my job at a storage facility, where I’m on my feet most of the day. These shoes are incredibly comfortable, lightweight, and breathable. I can actually feel the air moving in and out of the shoes as I walk, which really helps reduce that “hot feet” feeling during long days in warm weather. I also LOVE the wide toe box! My toes finally have room to spread naturally instead of feeling cramped and compressed — and honestly, toes were not meant to be squeezed together all day. The material feels great, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how fresh the shoes stay even after wearing them all day in the heat. In fact, I actually checked for odor after a full day of work, and there really wasn’t any noticeable bad smell, which is impressive! Another thing I appreciate is that they are lightweight while still feeling durable. I’ve walked through dirt, sand, and even gotten them slightly wet at times. Impressed with the quality of the material - they dried very quickly after dabbing them off, which was another nice surprise. They fit true to size. I’m an 8.5 and they fit perfectly. Despite what others say I find it has pretty good support. They are light and feel soft inside. They are so comfortable and I love having toe room. I wore them for 4 hours, not sure if I can wear for a 10 hour shift standing. I notice they make my posture better than when I’m wearing a running shoe which pushes me forward. The only thing I don’t like is the laces are long enough to be used on a boot.
