  • My comfortable athletic shoe I've ever worn.
Size: 9 Color: White
These are extremely comfortable! I have a Morton's neuroma and these shoes are the perfect remedy. Lots of room for my toes without looking sloppy. Very light weight. I love the Whitin brand. I have 3 different styles (barefoot, high tops and these) and 5 different colors now. I walked all over Europe on 2 week vacation and that's the only shoes I wore. I've worn all of them for months now and they wear very well. I've washed them in the machine and air dried with no issues. I wear an 8.5 wide and the 8.5 was perfect. They are designed wide. My feet are so happy! ... show more

  • Comparable to Altras
Size: 6 Color: White
I’m writing a few months after I bought these so I could do some comparisons. Normally I wear Altras, and decided to give these a try at a lower price. I’ve been VERY impressed with these: same negative drop and wide toe box, very comfortable, zero “break in” time. AND my plantar fasciitis has not recurred. My only con would be that they are not as cushioned as Altras, but again a very strong contender. ... show more

  • CHECK SIZING BEFORE PLACING ORDER!
Size: 8.5 Color: Black
I wear a 9 to 9.5 Wide in Women's shoes, so that's what I ordered: 9.5 Wide. Nowhere in the description does it say what the European size is, which would have been helpful since I already know I wear a 40 EU in a different Whitin model. UPDATE: There is now a sizing chart in the middle of the product page, which gives foot lengths in inches/centimeters as well as size conversions for a better fit. When these arrived, I found they were a size 41, which is too big for me. This was a huge setback for me, since I've been desperately seeking shoes that will help my tarsal tunnel syndrome heal. Other than the length, these shoes were comfortable and offered more cushioning than the minimalist Whitins I already own (which I can no longer wear because of the tarsal tunnel syndrome, *not* caused by the Whitins). I love the wide toe box -- which was plenty roomy for my 2E-width female feet -- and they're attractive as well, which is hard to find in these types of shoes. I absolutely love Whitin shoes and am looking forward to the correct-sized ones to arrive. NOTE ON CUSHIONING: These are *not* the equivalent of the Men's Wide Toe Box Road Running Shoe that looks the same. I ordered both, and the Men's version has a much more cushiony sole. The sole on these is harder, has less spring, and makes a bit of "slap" noise when walking. The Men's version is quieter, more rubber-like on hardwood floors. Also, the Men's version is visibly wider and actually fits my 2E width foot better. (For reference, the ball of my foot measures 4" across -- the widest Women's version of this shoe is less than that in size 11.) Please note that there is not a lot of arch "support" in these shoes, but the insole is removable so you can put any insole or orthotic in that you wish. I'm so glad Whitin is NOT trying to be an orthopedist like so many shoe manufacturers! We all have different feet and different support needs, so having the option to switch out the insole is a huge plus. ... show more

  • Fit like shoes are supposed to fit!
Size: 8 Color: Grey Gum
First things first as there's a lot of misconception out there on 'barefoot shoes' FYI- This particular style is not Barefoot or a Minimalist shoe! Please understand that before you order. And .. use their size guide and measure your feet as recommended in order to get the proper fit. Barefoot shoes: -zero drop -No cushioning; very thin sole for maximum ground feel *you can actually feel the ground through your feet. -Minimal protection from ground hazards -Extremely flexible to mimic barefoot movement -Designed to REPLICATE the experience of being barefoot -wide toe box and more natural fit to match the natural foot. MINIMALIST Shoes: - zero-8mm drop -minimal cushioning vs NO cushioning like the barefoot -flexible, but a slightly thicker sole then a barefoot -it sits between a barefoot and traditional shoes. This particular style (zero drop wide toe box road shoe) fits the foot as shoes should fit the foot, with a natural wide toe box. The shoe itself is not a wide fit. It has a very stiff sole and insole even compared to my New Balance zero drop walking sneaker (minimalist and barefoot shoes do not have stiff soles) While the base of the sole is non slip it's a harder material that does not appear to absorb shock. If you're looking for a shoe to absorb impact on your joints, this may not be the correct shoe. *I am not a runner and never have been, so I am not sure how these would perform for running as they are titled as a roadrunning shoe. Very attractive shoe and the material is a breathable fabric. It's not designed for outdoor cold winter weather. I purchased these with the intent to wear them as a zero drop training shoe at F45 however the insole and outer soul is stiff that it may not absorb impact, I prefer to slightly feel the ground doing weight lifting / squat type movements. With that being said, I will stick with Merrell Minimalist shoes for training and will try these on the pickleball court. Update 28days later: I find the shoe very comfortable for walking and everyday wear! I did wear the shoe during an F45 workout and I didn't like it. There was no lateral support from the arch to the toe box, the soul was too thick putting my feet too high from the ground which resulted in me not having much control and the shoe did not flex the way I prefer for doing lunges. ... show more

  • Comfy, wide toed, good for flat feet, no cramps
Size: 8 Color: Black
These are really nice I've never had a shoe not cramp my feet I think I'm flat footed but also the shape of a foot is 👣 wide at the toe it's just the natural shape of a foot. I don't even like closed toe shoes and these I would toss on even just for walking because they're comfortable
