Every single time I wear these shoes I have people asking me what brand they are and where I bought them. They’re a good conversation starter for sure, and if you’re looking to make friends these will help! Seriously though, they’re really comfortable. I picked these shoes because I wanted a barefoot shoe without the barefoot look. So many barefoot shoes look like troll feet or something. Somehow these shoes manage to give you the wide toe box without looking massive. And the sole is ideal for lifting since it’s pretty minimal. I wanted to buy a much more expensive pair of shoes (think: negative cow), but I’m really glad I got these instead. These are inexpensive and gorgeous, super comfortable and sturdy. I’ve worn this pair at least once a week for almost a year and you can barely tell they’ve been worn. I ordered another pair of whitin shoes that I wear the other 6 days of the week, and they still look brand new. Both pairs have gone through some serious exercise, long walks, and lots of stretching and show minimal wear. Even the crease line right along the toes is still holding up perfectly. I have them for two years, and these are great barefoot shoes: my toes spread comfortably. They went through dry and wet days, and yes, they're textile and will get dirty. Washed them by hand and in the machine - they're still intact. Grass/dirt comes off easily enough. I'm not even untiyng the laces, just slip on with a heel spoon. ... show more

I will say they are nicely made, not too much arch support and for me this is exactly what I want, the less arch support, the better. I want as close to barefoot feel as possible They are fairly lightweight and flexible and I have a decent ground feel. I’m 65 and extremely determined to avoid having my toes become fused and mangled like my mother’s toes did which caused her to fall while in her 80’s. So it is important to allow for toe flexing and to strengthen your arch and feel the ground to be signal to your brain. Especially given I have always been a klutz even when young. I took one star off only because while soft and comfortable and flexible they weren’t quite as flexible as they appeared in the photos. However out of the box, I can wear them all day with no problems and I definitely will be keeping them. ... show more

These shoes are great. I wore them straight out of the box- no break in- to Disneyland rope drop to 11:30 pm. Not that I would recommend this but my feet were tired but not because of the shoes that is just a lot of walking and standing all day. Highly recommend and they are cute. True to size.     • Beggars can't be choosers
This is my second pair of the black Whitin shoes, purchased about 10 months apart, which is why I'm giving a 3 start rating. I understand that these are knockoff Vivos, but I was hoping for at least one year of wear before having to replace them. I don't wear these everyday, and yet, they only lasted 10 months, as the soles in my current pair are falling apart. Reminds me of the boot theory where I'll wind up spending more money on these shoes until I'm able to afford a pair of Vivos which will probably last multiple years. Despite my complaints, the shoes are reasonably comfortable, it is indeed wide toebox, and I'm grateful for that. Just be mindful that these are made with low quality materials, and if you wear them regularly, you'll probably need to replace them within 6 months. ... show more

Really pleased with these shoes! I've been wearing various kinds of barefoot and barefoot-adjacent shoes for years and its nice to see some more affordable entries into the category. These are very comfortable - not much cushion but more than many minimalist shoes. They fold right up like a barefoot shoe ought to and there is tons of room in the toe box. The lightly stretchy fabric upper has plenty of give - almost socklike. I'm a little concerned about the longevity - they don't seem super durable and I don't know how well they will hold up, but that's an issue with pretty much any kind of sneaker - if you wear it, you're going to wear it out. Overall though I'm happy I gave these a shot; maybe I'll remember to come back and give a durability update in six months or so. ... show more
