Broke these in with a 2 hour beach walk in the sand and in the water. Got 'em good and wet. They're true to size and since they stretch a little they're forgiving, One of my feet is 9 1/2 and the other is size 9, I got the size 9 and they fit both feet just fine. I like the little tab and and drawstring on the heel. These worked amazingly well out of the bag. Usually new shoes, even water shoes can cause a blister until they're broken in. These didn't. Part of wearing a water shoe is cleaning it afterwards. This is as simple as taking out the insoles and hosing everything down and letting it dry in the sun. The insoles are nice and thick compare to other water shoes. This makes it easier to put back in the shoes. Thinner ones will fold and bind, and a pain to get back in the shoe sometimes. No downside, great value for the price. I'll order another pair when these ultimately wear out. ... show more

These are great! So much better than the water shoes I have picked up from the local grocery store the past few years. Those never last very long. These are much more comfortable and it's nice that it has a loop on top to help you slip them on. The removable insole is really nice. When the shoes are dry, it's very easy to slip them back in. The shoes are comfortable and handle the rocky shoreline at my local lake very nicely. And another bonus is because they fit so snugly around my ankle, I don't get nearly as many small pebbles sneaking in. This is only my second day using them since they arrived, so the durability question remains pending. So far they are well worth the little bit extra I paid to get something of higher quality. I have neuropathy in my feet and years ago burned the bottoms of them very badly after walking on hot sand, so my doctor told me I have to wear shoes at the beach even in the water. I also have very narrow feet and a hard to find shoe size. These water shoes are perfect. They can be adjusted to fit my feet (11 Narrow) and have good support on the bottom for wearing in the water. I would not hike in them because they don't have enough support for me (I am 74) but might for younger people. I have not tried walking on the beach in them yet but will at some point, and might add to this review after that. They are very comfortable to walk around in at home. I have not noticed anything about any arch support, but then I probably wouldn't feel it either way. ... show more

A very affordable product, and appears to be very comfortable. However, these are not made with a wide sole as other Whitin shoes are. They are narrow, and if you have wide feet, your toes will spill over the edge :( Not only was my big toe spilling over the medial edge, but the lateral side of the foot was too. Purchased these for a fishing trip. They are really non-slip and very comfortable. Put them in the washing machine when I got back to remove fish "evidence" and they came through fine. Good product for a very reasonable price.

Unfortunately I almost slipped on two separate occasions in the shower room. The room is tiled so a different texture than the pool or deck.
