I was surprised at how much I liked these shoes. It feels like I'm walking barefoot and the first couple of days seemed to work parts of my legs and feet as I could really feel it. My feet feel like they have opened up and I can now notice how cramped my other shoes are. I don't feel like they are as versatile as tennis shoes as I couldn't see myself wearing these in every situation. I also don't feel like they will last as long as a tennis shoe though they seem priced appropriately to offset this. The biggest con I would mention is that I sound like a duck when I walk on hard floors: "Flap...Flap..", the lack of cushion is also felt in the rest of my body but it is no worse than if I were walking barefoot. These won't replace my tennis shoes but I find myself wearing them more and more and I may even be starting to prefer them. This feels like a much more natural way of walking and I feel like I'm giving my feet a bit of a break from all the strenuous things I put them through when wearing them. ... show more

This shoe fits the three criteria I expect in a minimal shoe: wide toe box, zero heel, and minimal cushion! Initially I was going to purchase the cross trainer variant, primarily because it had over 16000 reviews, and I generally tend to go after the most popular version. The sneaker variant has significantly less reviews. However, the main complaint I read on the cross trainer review was that the toe box wasn’t wide, even if the shoe offered the zero heel drop. So it wasn’t truly a barefoot shoe. I ended up buying these because they have a wide toe box! As you can see in photo, they look great, plenty of space for my toes. They have a great barefoot feel. Note: I’m still debating if I want to remove the inner sole from this shoe. A comment trend I read about the cross trainers was that the inner sole actually added a slight heel lift, so folks removed it. I haven’t read any reviews or seen evidence in the listing that the sneaker variant has a raise on its sole. If I find that to be the case, I may remove it. If you truly want that minimal shoe, I’d definitely recommend these over the cross trainer! Now granted, these aren’t running shoes, so if you need an athletic shoe, the cross trainer may be the better shoe. But just for everyday wear, you can’t beat these! ... show more

    • Very comfortable shoe but falls apart quickly

After noticing the outside of my pinky and big toes hurt after walking miles and miles, I was looking for some wider shoes. These fit the bill and seemed like a solid price for a minimalistic shoe. After wearing them for a week they were so damn comfy I didn't want to go back to normal shoes. I then proceeded to wear these shoes everyday for the past 7 months doing every activity from hiking to sports. The flat smooth bottom is not ideal for most hard activities, but you can make due. About month 5 I noticed the heel section was wearing down quickly in the bottom and on the sides. This creates tiny little plastic "rocks" that you will need to empty out of your shoe daily. I will still wear these shoes for a bit but I'm going to try the cross trainer and hopefully they will last a bit longer. ... show more

I have to say these are very comfortable. Unlike my other big name brand flat sole shoes these ARE comfortable and don't make my toes clump up. The toe box is big. I do feel better traction when walking also. Im not going for style points but for comfort and less feet and legs pain. Note: if you will wear these outside in the yard like I did due spray some water repellent on them as they are fabric and breathable. Just to protect and aid with water stains. I will be looking to buy another pair or two. Maybe black or white ones. ... show more

I never like buying shoes without trying them on first so I was apprehensive to order, but I am so glad I did. These are highly reviewed for a reason.....great price, super comfortable right out of the box and the shoes look great! I read some other reviews that complained about the finish i.e. glue showing on the soles etc., but this is not the case with the pair I received. As far as longevity, I am rough on shoes and boots and if I have to order another pair in a year, so be it. The price, the quality, the comfort and the fact that Amazon delivered them next day.......nothing to complain about here. ... show more

A lot of other reviews seem to be complaining that they were hard on their feet. Well this is true for the first week or 2 that I would my feet were definitely sore, Now a few months later I can walk 12 miles in them and barely notice. Surprisingly durable. Wonderful toes space. And stylish compared to other barefoot shoes. Plus you cant beat the price. I will be buying again ... show more
