I can't say enough about these shoes! Had them for probably four months, they never get dirty! I've worked in dirt holes with them on and they're dirty that day, but two days later they're back to looking clean. I wear them because the zero heel is better for my body. Minimalist shoes without the bells and whistles. If you are looking for stiff shoes with arch support, you will want to look elsewhere. These have a wider toe box than that popular brand. They fit my feet perfectly. I always size up from a 41 to a 42 in Whitins and these were the same. The insoles are removable, so there is room to add any needed insoles. These are very comfortable with a wide foot box. Bought these in the spring and decided they looked a little goofy with shorts. Just my opinion!! Now that it's fall I'm back to wearing them with jeans and I just ordered another color.

I prefer thin soled shoes and these hit the spot. After taking out the footbed insert, these have lots of toe room and no support so it feels very much like walking barefoot. I really like these do NOT have some stupid word printed across them like "SPORTS" or some other non-sense from the chinese manufacturers. I'm surprised this has a 4.3 rating, even for the price. I was looking for a suavs alternative, and this ain't it. These are canvas (just like it says) and has a coarse hand. Not like a burlap sack mind you, but not soft. I've not worn Converse Chuck's in so long so I couldn't say if it's on par with that, but being canvas it's not that cozy. I expected something softer since it's advertised as a barefoot shoe. Honestly even with socks I don't like it. I can't imagine being in these all day. Maybe for a 30 min walk, and maybe thats the intent of this shoe. I personally don't need or appreciate the wide toe box, so that's on me. But wow is it ugly due to that. Kind of like clogs, but without clog style. I wouldn't wear these unless medically necessary. Then again, I wouldn't wear crocs either yet they are hugely popular, so I'm clearly not much of an expert on style. For all the width of the toe box, the height is quite low, unlike a typical clog. This presses on my big toe and I can feel it on every step. Won't like that after a while. The tongue bunches up when you put them on (unlike suavs), even though the laces go through a retaining loop in the tongue, causing a crease where it meets the toe box. But you can pull the tongue back up. In my limited indoor only test walk it stays in place, but I have to think these will crease quickly and then be more uncomfortable than they already are. I suppose if you replace the insole they might work better for you. For me, they're going back. I am going to try one of the other WHITIN styles, not the wide toe box this time. They seem to have limited choices though, I see only "sock shoes" and canvas in the top 10. This is sold as a US 9M but what was actually delivered to me was a 42. Close enough for me, I have several EU sized 42 shoes that are just right and on that aspect they were a perfect fit, true to size. ... show more
