I bought these men's shoes though I am woman because I liked the color combo. Super roomy and comfy with room to spread my toes. I like how you feel close to the earth - almost a barefoot feel. Great travel shoes since they are so light weight and great for walking.

These are the best shoes I've ever owned. They look great, and most importantly they feel great. I was born with wide feet, and have deformed curled toes from wearing medium width shoes with narrow toe boxes growing up. At the same time, I prefered the flat soles of skate shoes and never liked shoes with raised heels because they hurt my knees. I have looked and looked for wide skate shoes and never found any. Then I found these shoes from Whitin and now I'll never buy another shoe again until they go out of business. They're that good. Buy one-half size up as they're intentionally a half size shorter than normal to be wider than normal. I'm a size US 9M, but their 9's didn't fit me. They were too short. That's when I realized the recomendation to buy half a size up on the product listing, so I returned the 9's and orderes the '9.5-10's' and they fit me perfectly, in both width and length. I'm so happy. This is the first time in my life that a shoe has fit my foot correctly. ... show more

Purchased a second pair after wearing the first a few days. I also have some Xero shoes. These have just as wide of a toe box but there is an insole that does have a slight drop. Overall for more than half the money less it is well worth it.

You might need to change your walking gait to a traditional barefoot gait (toe to heel) in order to avoid an audible slap from the metatarsal (front of foot)
