So I bought this item, the dress makers base/pole. The other reviews said it was not put together well but I bought it anyway. I had to modify it to get the pieces to fit together and the screw to attach the wooden portion of the pole was slightly crooked. The metal pole for it is too thin for my dress form but I just put a rag at the end to make it a little more stable. So after sanding and filing down some of it, it does fit together but is slightly askew. It does hold my dress form up though, so that is a plus. I should have known better then to purchase it but I wasn't sure any of the dress form bases would have fit my dress form without costing to much. It does work so far for what I needed it to do. It is easy to put together if the pieces would have fit right in the first place. ... show more

Bought this for my custom dress for project. Love the look of the white wood compared to the adjustable metal ones. Knocked a star off because when the stand is assembled it doesn’t sit level. I wouldn’t care if it was just a bit off, but it’s a good 1/2” difference causing quite a lean. I’m having to modify it to be the correct hight and level. Otherwise it’s cute, just be prepared to have to possibility get a little DIY with the stand to work correctly. ... show more

OK, I went on Pinterest and made my own dress form. Just so you know, it's much harder than it looks. Anyway, I needed a stand and this was absolutely perfect! It makes my dress form look professionally made. It would make a great stand for a cool lamp or something like that too. I'm very please. :)

The main base part that the legs go into was missing, and the threaded part for the pole was bent out of place. Packaging was just put in a plastic shopping bag, put in a box, and shipped. so protection or anything.

not well made. center piece cracked while trying to get the legs on. some of the paint chipped off immediately. pole feels wobbly at the bottom joint. UPDATE: after a couple days of use, the bottom piece came off and can't go back on because the threads are stripped. what a trash product.
