We have a few large dark brown (cherry) bookshelves in our family room. Our family room decor leans towards brown--hard woods, leather, antique wood furniture, and the bookshelves. Many of our keepsakes from our travels are displayed in the bookshelves. These display areas needed a quick uplift to help the items stand out from the dark background. We considered taking the "cardboard" backings off of the bookshelves to allow the wall paint to show through--then realized the backings are essential for stability for the bookshelves! Then thought about painting the interior of the backing? What a pain! Then thought of wallpaper! But that can get kind of messy with the water and glue! This Lareko Peel-and-Stick wallpaper jumped off the digital page at me! I knew of contact paper but had never seen or heard about PEEL-AND-STICK wallpaper! I knew this was exactly what the bookshelves needed. I have severe neuropathy in my hands, so my husband was in charge of this task. He was not thrilled, to say the least. But then he realized the paper was thick, lined on the back, easily cut, and very sticky! Sticky is great unless you need to maneuver the wallpaper around...but he also found that the wallpaper was forgiving, therefore, movable for a few minutes before it stuck like glue! The bookshelves are still dark brown, but by putting this textured wallpaper on the back walls, they are freshly updated and the perfect stage for our keepsakes. ... show more

    • Not only for walls
I ordered this paper to line my kitchen cabinets and drawers. Because of the markings on the backing, it is easy to cut on a straight line. It was stickier than I expected and will stick to itself if you are not careful. It can be removed to adjust after placement, but I'm not sure that would be true after it is in place longer. After some experimentation, here's the method that I used to install. I cut the piece to size then folded back about an inch or two of the liner on one end. I then placed the wallpaper in my cabinet, positioning the opposite end first. I smoothed the paper in place, pressing firmly on the end with adhesive exposed. I then reached under the paper and slowly peeled the lining away, pressing the paper in place as I did this. This usually resulted in a smooth install, but occasionally I would have a wrinkle which could be removed by lifting the paper and smoothing it out with my hand. I am pleased with this product and the new clean look of my cabinets. ... show more

I'm really pleased with this wallpaper. It's a kinda middle thickness as far as all the peel and stick wallpapers I've used. Thick enough to not tear but not so thick that it won't form to the wall or that it is too heavy to stay up. The texture is nice looking and the vinyl surface is easy to just wipe down with a wet rag if needed. It's easy to cut, and man is it sticky. Like super sticky. It left adhesive all over my scissors and my blade, so I'm pretty sure I'll have to clean the walls well before we move out, after we remove the wallpaper. But it stays up perfectly, even after readjusting multiple times. I applied it to typical apartment walls with layers of paint and weird bumps everywhere. The thickness of this paper, coupled with the texture, allow it to perfectly mask the walls. I'm very happy with the performance of this paper, as well as how it looks. ... show more

    • Sticks well but wrinkles and tears easy
The wallpaper is like chalk white. It sticks well but I did notice it tears and tangles easily. I highly recommend using a measuring tape to mark how much paper you will need and keep the back of the paper on until you have the precise location of where you are going to lay your paper to avoid the paper from sticking together and wrinkling. ... show more

I purchased this wallpaper to line shelves in our basement and it did not disappoint. It has adhesive and stuck on the first try for us. It works well to line the basement cabinets reasonably priced and packaged well.

We tried out the white peel and stick wallpaper, and were impressed by its thickness, adhesive, and easiness to put up and smooth bubbles out. The roll was just shy of 400 inches, and standard 17.7 width, so enough to do a small section of wall. We used it above some tile and it looks great so far. It's super easy to clean, and not too shiny for being basically a PVC product. Perfect for kitchen and bathroom, in my view. I would suggest it. ... show more

I was a little skeptical at first but I am glad I got this. Why? - The texture/pattern is subtle but noticeable. - You do not have to line up details.
