Description

Size:Small Flap - Height (34"-37") | Color:Bronze The Wiskers and Windows Horizontal Cat Door for Windows is a fast, affordable way to install a pet door in your home. This window insert requires no drilling or cutting (can be trimmed 3/4" shorter with metal cutting blade if needed) and can be installed in seconds. Our spring loaded design allows for instant adjustment of up to 3 inches and creates a snug weather-tight fit. This pet door comes in white and black color options, ensuring that it will match your window framing. Great for cats and small dogs, this pet door will give you and your pets the freedom to come and go as you please. A four way lock is included to provide security and access control. Simply use the red and green locking tabs to close it so nothing can enter or exit, allow access in and out, allow the pet to come in only at a certian time, or out only so they can't come back in until you allow it. Measure to ensure proper fit; four things: 1. Height and Width of your pet: This pet door opening is 6" wide x 6" tall for the small size. The large measures 7 1/2" wide x 8" tall. Be sure to include the 2 1/4" inch stepover when calculating opening height. 2. Height of window track: Measure inside your track from the deepest point on the bottom to the deepest point on the top. Choose the size that will fit between 34"-37" or 46"-49". If your window track measurement is within 1" of the bottom (35" or 47") then you will need to make sure that you have enough clearance to get it into the track. If your window measurement is outside of either of these ranges it will not fit properly. 3. Width of window opening: Your window must be able to open 11" wide for the small size and 13" wide for the large size. 4. Track thickness: must be at least 1" thick. It will fit in wider tracks but may need to be secured.

My cats love this pet door. I put it in the window which was already their favorite spot to perch and watch birds, so they picked up using it really quickly. Previously, I let them out when I got home from work everyday, but everyone is happier this way :) Things I especially like: - super sleek look, went perfectly with my all white window sill - very easy to install (made my life easier that I had the correctly sized window for the existing adjustable ranges) - magnet on door keeps draft from coming in (important in Seattle) and I can lock flap for when I don't want them to come in and out (rainy days) Other notes: - I don't really give my cats treats, so to help them get used to the cat door in the beginning, I taped a piece of clear plastic (Ziploc bag) as a stand-in for a bit.     • Great design, terrible cat door lock

The cat door fits into the window pretty well, although the knobs on the front but up against the frame. I put some weatherstripping in and it sealed up pretty nice. It is solid and for well. My biggest complaint is with the cat door locking mechanism. I ordered this because it had the ability to lock the door going in or going out, which worked well for the first few days. After about 3 days of locking the cat in for the night, we found our cat locked outside when we woke up the 4th day. He figured out that he can push the door open past the lock which allows him to go outside, but could not get back in. The locking mechanism on the cat door is terrible. He can push right through it now and is useless. ... show more

Super easy to install with the spring-loaded top! Then used the knobs to make it sit tight. Gonna be great for our cat that likes this window...she'll enjoy the fun present! (And we'll enjoy not letting her in and out). We liked the bronze, but white would look good too and blend in better with a white window. Make sure you get the measurements right! The first window I tried to put it in was too short (just barely under 34") but thankfully this window worked too. ... show more

    • Not bad, but....needs improvments
I received the pet door in good shape. 1. I ordered the 48" tall horizontal slide window design with small door for cat. The door on the frame was installed backwards. So I had to remove it and replace it. Not a huge issue. 2. Then the door would not fit my window so I had to cut about 1/2 inch from the aluminum, and then it barely fits snug, but itis in properly. 3. The door itself, the moving part has some weather sealing brushes around it, and while this is good, it also makes the door harder to open, and my cat for about a week now is not using it. 4. The other issue is that the window that you close up against the side of the door frame, leaves a very slight gap. So I think if they included a "T" shaped PVC piece to wedge between the pet door and the window, it would close the air gap and make it more bug and air proof. ... show more

    • The cats love it
Super easy to install. There is no weather stripping on the sides so you need to buy some otherwise there will be air gaps. Basic weather stripping did the trick and sealed it perfectly and you can’t even notice the weather stripping. The cats LOVE their new door. Didn’t take them long to figure it out. The door props open on its own so the cats know when it’s open they are free to come and go. When I put the window down I lock it to keep them inside safe. You can set the door locks to any setting you want. Easy to use. This is one of my favorite purchases. Especially because it’s not a permanent door. I love that I can install it or remove it in a minute or two. It’s also my cats favorite present ever. ... show more

    • Looks great in the window!
We had tall, but narrow windows in our new rental and cutting a hole in the door for a pet door was not an option. This pet door arrived quickly and was pretty easy to figure out as far as installation. We cut some foam tubing in half and used it as weather strips between components. I am in the process of training my cat to actually go through the door now. I love that the top portion of this insert is a window itself. The kitty door has a good seal and is easy to lock in/out if needed. I’m not sure why some reviewers said the door lock didn’t work good. My cat would never be able to break in or out of this if it was in locked mode. I would recommend this pet door to anyone. Worth the price. ... show more

This cat door is the best thing. I love that it fits a few different sizes of windows. The only thing about mine is my window is 43.5 so the door was just a 16th too long. I ended up taking the metal plates off the spring top, inserting the door into the window and putting the plates back on after. Once the springs pushed the plates up Into the window frame, it was solid. So other than that it’s great! My cat loves his easy access to freedom now! I also love that if I move out of my current house, I can take this cat door with me anywhere. ... show more

    • Does NOT fit 46" Window!
Great Cat door! SUPER EASY install IF it actually fits your window. My window is EXACTLY 46" But you need a little more room to actually get it in the window. So Disappointed. This manufacturer should have taken this into account.
