These BEAUTIFUL Barrettes worked so well for my very thick medium length hair. I was at a wedding all afternoon and evening, at least eight hours and they held up with No problem at all. They are more than worth the price. I recommend them whole heartedly!

These are great small Barrett’s in the hard to find 1 3/4”. There is a removable piece inside the barrett to allow the user to accomodate thicker amounts of hair. Simply put pressure on that inner piece from the underside, which makes the piece shorter. Once one end is free from the barrett, lift it out. To add back, reverse the steps. I will definitely wear one when getting dressed up. I will add to my review if my opinion changes. I photographed the pieces on a white towel, to show the tinge on both pieces that makes them look dingey, instead of a luxurious piece of jewelry.
