"What Should Danny Do?" has quickly become a favorite in our house, and I cannot recommend it enough! It is the perfect blend of engaging storytelling and valuable life lessons. The book is written in a "choose-your-own-adventure" style, allowing my kids to make decisions for Danny and see the direct consequences of his actions. This interactive approach keeps them fully engaged from start to finish. The story revolves around Danny, a "Superhero-in-Training," who faces daily choices. The best part is that it shows how positive choices lead to a better day, while negative ones have natural, non-preachy consequences. It has been such an effective tool for teaching empathy, responsibility, and the "power to choose." My kids absolutely love flipping to the different pages to see what happens next, and it has actually helped them think about their own behavior in real-life situations. As a children’s therapist, I use this book series regularly in sessions and highly recommend it. The interactive “choice” format keeps kids very engaged and opens up great discussions beyond just choices and consequences, including emotions, problem-solving, perspective-taking, and coping skills. The stories are relatable for young children, and my clients genuinely love them. I ended up ordering every book in the series because they have worked so well in sessions. The Danny Book Series is a great Series for children. It was a a choose your path type book and requires the child to make choices(good or bad) which will affect the story outcome. There are two books in this series and both are great and help children to learn that their choice during the day, whether at home or at school or even the park, will have consequences that will determine how their day will be. There is even a cape that you can order to be just like Danny. I wish I’d had these when my kids were small, however, they are great for my grandchildren. ... show more

4 stars because this book is pretty awesome, but it's just not as good as the first book. It's a bit more preachy, the stories drag on, and there seem to be less options to choose from. For example, last night my son wanted to go back and use his power to choose (I love that) to change the outcome. When we went back we read the same 6 pages full of lots of detail before we got to a place to choose. Also, the repercussion for making the less good choice are almost nothing. Dawdle and miss the bus, Dad drives him to school (which is better). Don't do the science project, play with goo and get sticky (again, my son thought this was better). It's just not as clear, or as funny, as the lessons in the first book. That said, I would still buy this and I think it's a good book. But if you're trying to decide between this book and the first book, go with the first book. ... show more
