The heavy duty 713cc 4-Stroke OHV Westinghouse V-Twin engine has a cast iron sleeve and runs for up to 16 hours at 25% load on a 10.5 gallon gas tank, keeping you powered all day or night with a built in fuel gauge and automatic low oil shutdown. There is one 120/240V 14-50R 50A outlet and one 120/240V L14-30R 30A outlet. Update 7-19-2026 Had the generator for 6 months now (bought Jan 2026). Generator only has about 8 hours total on it, so it could still be considered in the "breaking in period". No power outages, so the only use it has gotten is every other month exercise for about 30 min. Still happy with the performance. I recently installed a soft start on my 5 ton ac and wanted to test it, so I pulled out the Westinghouse today. I am running on natural gas so rated max running output will be 11600 watts. Generator had zero problems running the 5 ton ac, and I only noticed a slight lowering in the hum of the engine when it kicked on. While the 5 ton AC was on, I decided to try the clothes dryer, and ran both of them together. Total Amp draw was about 30 amps with both running (5 ton ac and dryer). Generator had zero issues running them both. I did a little more investigating on the THD (total harmonic distortion) with my power analyzer. I intentionally bought this generator because it advertised < 5% THD, and my intended purpose was a whole house generator to run an AC units during power outages in these hot Texas summers. At no load, the generator sits around 7% THD. With a single 5 ton AC running, it lowered to around 4.5% THD. With the AC and dryer running it rose slightly to 4.8%THD. I then turned my solar inverter on to charge my battery bank to drive it to 12000 watts (the max rated for natural gas is 11600). At this max load, THD rose slightly to 5.4%. While the generator did run at 12000 watts, it was barely hanging in there. I tried to go higher but it started to struggle, and I quickly pulled back on the load. I'm not entirely sure if that was the generator struggling due to engine HP, or my house natural gas line couldn't keep up with the flow. I am using a 25ft hose from house to generator. Either way, the 11600 max running watts rating seem to be right as this did appear to be the limits of my configuration. Anyway, thought this might help anyone with some real world numbers. Original Review This generator lives up to it's hype. I bought this as a whole house generator, so being trifuel was important to me, as I wanted to run on natural gas. I ran it at full load for Natural Gas (11000 total watts = 5000watts on Chargeverter charging solar batteries, plus 4x1500 watt space heaters) on natural gas. The generator stayed at 60hz and measured 5.5-5.8% THD at those loads according to my power analyzer. The No load THD is around 6.8-7%. The generator carried the load extremely well, as I couldn't detect hardly any audible change in the motor RPM as I turned on loads. The engine kept going very smooth. This generator is loud, like really loud. She likes to make her voice known to all of the neighbors. It is also a big generator but wheels easily across my garage floor and driveway. Both sets of the nema 5-15 plugs on the panel are all on the same leg, while the l5+30 plug is on the other leg.. I would have preferred that Westinghouse put one set of 5-15 plugs one one leg and the other set on the other leg to help balance out the load for the generator. If you want to run on natural gas, be aware that it does not include a natural gas hose. You will need to purchase that separately. Also, remember to turn the battery switch off, otherwise the machine will continue to draw power from it. The next time you try to start it up, it won't start because the battery is dead. So far so good. I just don't understand why a generator with this much output ONLY HAS a 2P50A breaker on the output. I would think a 2P 100A would better handle the possible plug in combination of receptacles provided.

I bought the Westinghouse WGen14500TFc generator to protect my home during hurricane season in Florida, but it's been a frustrating and expensive disappointment. Out of the box the lifting hook could not be installed due to bad threads on the part. Westinghouse sent a replacement. Also, the remote start never worked and the green light never illuminates around the start button to indicate it's ok to start. After contacting Westinghouse support, they said the issue is due to a faulty control module. Over the next several months, they sent me the wrong replacement part twice (both with a two-pin connector instead of the required four-pin). I provided photos, serial numbers, and detailed explanations, yet they have yet to send me the right part and the issue remains unresolved. After two months of silence, Westinghouse finally responded to my request for an update to say the correct part is on backorder due to “global supply chain challenges.” That might be understandable—if they hadn’t already wasted months shipping the wrong parts and promising quick resolutions. Even worse, they now say they cannot offer a refund because they “do not sell directly to consumers.” So I’m stuck with a non-working generator, halfway through its warranty, with no fix in sight—and no way to get my money back. A generator is supposed to be reliable when you need it most. This one failed long before any emergency and Westinghouse has offered little more than apologies and delay notices. Do not trust this product—or this company—for something as critical as emergency power. One star is generous. ... show more
