Ordered on January 22, 2026 and it arrived on February 11, 2026. Arrived on a pallet, excellent condition. Just unboxed it today (6/28/26) and everything looks great. Well put together and Westinghouse has always had great quality. I’ll update the review once we get it installed and use it. 5 stars so far. ... show more

  • Peace of Mind in a Box: I Love My Westinghouse WGen 14500 TFc Tri-Fuel Generator
Style: 18000 Watts - Tri Fuel - CO Sensor
I recently purchased the Westinghouse WGen 14500 TFc Tri-Fuel Generator, and I can confidently say it has exceeded my expectations in every way. Honestly, I wish I had made this investment much sooner—it’s one of those rare products that proves its value the moment you put it to use. From the moment I opened the box, I was impressed. Everything was thoughtfully packaged, and all the necessary components were included—no last-minute trips to the hardware store. The user manual was clear and easy to follow, and the step-by-step instructions made the setup process smooth and stress-free. Once I had it up and running, the generator performed beautifully. I tested it by powering the air conditioning units in my home, and it handled the load with ease. While running on natural gas, I did notice a brief power dip from the generator itself, but it quickly stabilized once the current leveled out. Switching to gasoline eliminated the issue entirely—the performance was rock solid, likely thanks to the higher BTU output. What really stands out to me is the generator’s versatility and reliability. The ability to switch between natural gas, propane, and gasoline gives me peace of mind, especially during unpredictable weather or emergencies. It’s clear that Westinghouse put a lot of thought into the design and functionality of this model. And here’s a small but delightful touch: starting the generator with the remote control is incredibly convenient—and honestly, it just feels good. It’s a small feature, but it adds to the overall sense of quality and ease of use. So far, everything has been excellent. The generator is powerful, dependable, and user-friendly. My family feels much more secure knowing we have a reliable backup power source ready to go. If you're considering a tri-fuel generator, I wholeheartedly recommend the WGen 14500 TFc—it’s a fantastic choice that truly delivers on its promises. ... show more

  • Big power, low THD (Verified)
Style: 18000 Watts - Tri Fuel - CO Sensor
This generator lives up to it's hype. I bought this as a whole house generator, so being trifuel was important to me, as I wanted to run on natural gas. I ran it at full load for Natural Gas (11000 total watts = 5000watts on Chargeverter charging solar batteries, plus 4x1500 watt space heaters) on natural gas. The generator stayed at 60hz and measured 5.5-5.8% THD at those loads according to my power analyzer. The No load THD is around 6.8-7%. The generator carried the load extremely well, as I couldn't detect hardly any audible change in the motor RPM as I turned on loads. The engine kept going very smooth. This generator is loud. She likes to make her voice known to all of the neighbors. It is also a big generator but wheels easily across my garage floor and driveway. Both sets of the nema 5-15 plugs are all on the same leg. I would have preferred that Westinghouse put each plug on a different leg to help balance out the load for the generator. If you want to run on natural gas, be aware that it does not include a natural gas hose. You will need to purchase that separately. Also, remember to turn you battery switch off, otherwise the machine will continue to draw power from it. The. The next time you try to start it up, it won't start because the battery is dead. Don't ask me how I know about this. Overall, very happy with this. Would recommend ... show more

  • Still Waiting After 6 Months – Poor Support and No Accountability Still Waiting After 6 Months – Poor Support and No Accountability
Style: 18000 Watts - Tri Fuel - CO Sensor
I bought the Westinghouse WGen14500TFc generator to protect my home during hurricane season in Florida, but it's been a frustrating and expensive disappointment. Out of the box the lifting hook could not be installed due to bad threads on the part. Westinghouse sent a replacement. Also, the remote start never worked and the green light never illuminates around the start button to indicate it's ok to start. After contacting Westinghouse support, they said the issue is due to a faulty control module. Over the next several months, they sent me the wrong replacement part twice (both with a two-pin connector instead of the required four-pin). I provided photos, serial numbers, and detailed explanations, yet they have yet to send me the right part and the issue remains unresolved. After two months of silence, Westinghouse finally responded to my request for an update to say the correct part is on backorder due to “global supply chain challenges.” That might be understandable—if they hadn’t already wasted months shipping the wrong parts and promising quick resolutions. Even worse, they now say they cannot offer a refund because they “do not sell directly to consumers.” So I’m stuck with a non-working generator, halfway through its warranty, with no fix in sight—and no way to get my money back. A generator is supposed to be reliable when you need it most. This one failed long before any emergency and Westinghouse has offered little more than apologies and delay notices. Do not trust this product—or this company—for something as critical as emergency power. One star is generous. ... show more

  • Be weary of a stuck fuel shut off solenoid
Style: 18000 Watts - Tri Fuel - CO Sensor
I’m writing this review to help anyone who may run into the same issue I did. When I first received the generator, I filled it with gasoline and tried to start it. It would crank but not fire. However, it ran perfectly on propane. I contacted Amazon and they refunded my money. Since I essentially had a 400 lb paperweight, I decided to troubleshoot it myself. After confirming I had spark and that fuel was reaching the carburetor, I realized gasoline wasn’t actually making it into the engine. I disassembled the unit (which was time consuming, by the way) to access the carburetor and discovered there is a fuel shutoff solenoid mounted on the bottom of the carburetor bowl. The solenoid was stuck in the closed position from the factory. That prevented fuel from flowing through the main jet, so the engine would not run on gasoline. I removed the solenoid, freed up the plunger, and bench-tested it with 12V DC to confirm it was operating properly. After reinstalling everything, the generator started and ran perfectly on gasoline. For anyone who experiences a “runs on propane but not on gas” issue, this solenoid is worth checking. It appears to be an anti-backfire solenoid that cuts fuel when the unit is turned off. Now that it’s working, the generator runs like a champ. Just wanted to share my experience in case it helps someone else. ... show more
