My were a perfect fit for my single cab. Looks great and great asset for my wife climbing up into my truck. Negative were the instructions. They were almost useless, 1 paragraph of instruction with 1 page of only pictures no descriptions. Brackets are different size but nothing telling you which ones go where, only trial and error. Same way the several braces that come with them. No instructions as to where they go, have to try and figure out from pictures. Had several parts left over??? Took 1 hour to install driver's side and 20 minutes to install passangers side. Still happy with my purchase but wish it had better instructions. p.s. no installation video on the web either. ... show more

    • Does not fit a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500!
Amazon garage filter claimed this would fit my 1996 Ram 2500. It does not! Not even close! I was an hour into the install before it became obvious. Then it took another 30 minutes to re-pack it for the return. Amazon refunded me without a problem.

    • Easy to install, instructions were a little outdated.
The parts list and instructions were a little outdated; there are 4 bolts that replace the original body bolts, and specific washers that should go with them (the list only shows 2 different sizes, but there are at least 3). This did lead to a little trial and error on one side, but it was still fairly easy/quick to install. Would recommend an impact wrench for the body bolts. ... show more

I needed to replace the original Westin steps on my 2008 Ram. The original design had plastic end caps on the steps which retained water and caused rust. The new ones don’t have them. They were a direct fit replacement and I didn’t even have to replace the mounting hardware.

Purchased this for my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab: I looked under vehicles and did the background check that Amazon provides, but when the step bar arrived, it was not the one pictured. It was designed for a single cab truck with only one section for the step in for a door. You do get two steps with a single purchase, but make sure that the picture and the description match. ... show more

The item shown is not what was delivered. I received the sidebars but were way smaller and had only one pad. Amazon made good though and is paying for the return shipping.

Amazon has incorrectly pictured and labeled this item, if you have a quad cab DO NOT purchase this step bar, it will not fit your truck. I'm not the only person that has had this problem. I contacted Amazon via phone and they have informed me that they are correcting the issue.
