  • Excellent solution to ugly counters
Size: 12" x 120" Color: 1.black
I have had this product on my counters for over a year now and I could not be happier! The counters in my home are awful. White with ugly blue edges.I knew one day I was going to cover them but I just wasn't sure what with. I went through one day and hunted down something I liked and I thought this would be great. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised at how thick it was, and how overall durable it seemed. I made sure I cleaned my counters, edges and backsplash very well and off I went. A couple of tools I would highly recommend: Scissors. A craft/utility knife set. Small tube of kitchen caulk I also highly recommend measuring. I didn't because frankly I love to wing it and then be bummed out I have to wait for another roll to arrive. I'm a glutton for punishment I suppose. Nonetheless. I started applying the contact paper from the top of the backsplash, down tot he counter then forward, with the roll going horizontally across the counters. I don't have one long counter area so I did make sure to closely, roughly cut it down to size so I wasn't working with so much excess. The trick is a little patience and only peeling and folding down the backing just enough so you're not accidentally sticking everywhere. That being said, if you do, this paper actually releases nicely without stretching or ruining the adhesive. It takes a little oomph but it works so you have forgiveness. I only ordered the 15in wide so I worked all the way across the back of the counters, then started working along the front half and edges. I had enough extra from the 2nd row to nicely fold down on the edge of the counter. Make sure you work out all of your bubbles before you put the 2nd row down. I did rough cut the front pieces down a bit too so I didn't have a ton of excess hanging, plus the long strips would be great for areas I knew I'd need thin strips to cover (like around the curved edges of the counter). Once I got the top down and bubbles pushed out, I tightly wrapped it along the edge. After whatever adjusting needed to be done, I took my little craft utility knife and ran it along the bottom edge of the counter to remove any excess. Take your time here so the cut is smooth and even. I did have to improvise some with a section of my counter that juts out with a curved edge. I kept the grain still going horizontally instead of trying to do anything fancy with the 90degree turn. The biggest challenge for me was around the sink. I did my best here, using my utility knife a lot to slowly work around the sink so the paper was close enough for caulk to cover nicely. I wasn't worried about perfection, just closeness. One thing I would love to note is that the places where two parts of contact paper connect really are not noticeable with the dark color. I can't imagine it would be very obvious with any of them really. Unless someone wants to nitpick it, they'll not really notice. The texture of the surface is obvious that it's not actual counter, but the quality of it makes it look way better than the old stuff your mom used to buy from the store! Durability is pretty darn good. You will have to change some habits you may have such as placing hot cookware directly on it. My old countertop I didn't care but with this, it will create a ring. My poor son forgot and set the pot down on the counter from the stovetop. Thankfully we caught it, but worst case scenario I would have cut that section and peeled it off to replace. That is a fantastic advantage to this. Also, no knives on it! My husband cut something on my counters within the first week and boy was I mad. At first it was not noticeable really but after a few months the settling of the paper on the surface has created a nice white slit. I could take a small piece to cover it but I haven't. It's been there for a year, so maybe one day I'll do it. I recently made a floating counter in another area of my kitchen to help with keeping open floor space and to house my microwave and Keurig. I ordered another small roll of this to cover it to match. Perfection. I'm so glad I did rather than keep the dark brown wood color of the shelf I used. I think for the excellent quality of this, the value is excellent. It's a very nice, classy instant upgrade if you're looking for a cheap option to get you through. Some homes are worth redoing counters, some aren't. And some people can afford to do that, and some can't. That's ok... because this awesome stuff exists! ... show more

  • Looks great and easy to install.
Size: 24" x 394" Color: 1.black
Looks great and very easy to install with a little patience. Holds up well and is heat resistant. Wipes clean easily. Easy to replace if damaged as well. I would recommend a hair dryer or heat gun to remove the air bubbles.

  • Best stick and peel countertops!!
Size: 15.8" x 78" Color: 1.black
This is without a doubt, a five star product, it can be a little difficult to line it up and get it where you need it in certain areas or put it on a surface that bends and keep it going smoothly, but once you get the hang of it it’s pretty easy. Could be made easier with two people, but I did it myself and it’s one of those things after you stick a piece or two you start to realize what you need to do to make it easier and it pretty well falls into place. You can lift and reposition and it still sticks just as sturdy. I even have a few areas that are overlapped and it’s not noticeable. It’s very easy to take a credit card or something flat and smooth out the bubbles and make sure it is all smooth, which honestly even a good bit of it you can just be pressing down with your hand and you’re gonna get them out. It cuts very easy and has a grid on the back to help give you straight lines. You get a decent amount for a roll. It didn’t cost me too much but I do have a small kitchen. It has gotten damp plenty of times. Water has splashed on it from us washing dishes and I’ll wipe right over it with a towel like I would any other countertop and it has held up excellent, and I love the color. The black is very pretty. It still has that woodgrain look to it.. but overall It’s worth it because I bought one roll, not knowing how much to use and once I got a third of my counter done with it I was so excited to order the other two and get them in. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it from people that have come over and saw the original counters that were here in the apartment. ... show more

  • Don’t buy this if you want your counters to stay ugly
Size: 15.8" x 393" Color: 1.black
This peel and stick is of good quality..somewhat easy to install. It has enough sticky and is hard to pull back up which is a plus.

  • This is the one!
Size: 15.8" x 393" Color: 1.black
I had an urgent need to get a desk for my new office that had to be a certain size so I ordered a desk in a box. The size was perfect and it came with a printer stand. This is one of the popular ones with a name you would know. The picture of the color and the color description were way off. This thing was massive, it is an L shape that takes up a good deal of room. The color in person was absolutely ugly. Really ugly. I was seriously entertaining tearing it apart and taking it to the dump and getting a different brand. I really didn't want to spend that kind of money but I was heartbroken that my new office was uglified by this piece of crap desk. In desperation I jumped on Amazon and started searching for a fix. I found a whole lot of wallpapers that people used to redo furniture and I thought that may work. Most of the reviews however seemed to indicate they were a very temporary solution so I changed my search to look for a higher quality. I found this one. The reviews were letting me know that this was the stuff I was needing. I ordered and received it quickly and immediately went about fixing this ugly desk and printer stand. This stuff is a lifesaver. I am so super impressed, it changed the whole look and now I am really happy with my new desk and office. Thank You!!! This did exactly what you said it would and so much more. I will say though that you will get out of this what you put into it. I spent about 5 hours applying this. This has the potential to be perfect so I took my time and made it perfect. The factory cut edges are absolutely straight and perfect, you can get a smooth invisible seam if you take your time. It's a bit challenging but well worth the effort. I suggest going slow and also ordering extra because you will mess up at least one piece until you get the hang of it. This is super sticky, really super sticky. It will pull off of a laminated surface if you go slow and easy and it will stick again and again and again with no problem. If it sticks to itself, sticky side to sticky side though, it will not come apart without making that piece no good to use so go slow and easy. I pulled the paper backing off about 3 inches and folded it back out of the way and then continued to do that as I went. That seemed to help get it in the right position. The color of this and the pattern are very attractive and were a perfect match to the rest of my office. I couldn't find a pattern that looked like I had to match up with while doing a seam and that made it a lot easier. I highly recommend! If you are meticulous, this will look like brand new formica. This is made of PVC I believe and it is nice and thick. ... show more

  • I’m picky and I’m very satisfied with the product
Size: 12" x 120" Color: 1.black
I’ll write more again soon, but the product is thick it sticks really well and is sharp looking. I read some negative reviews. Those must be old because this is a nice product and the seller is very accommodating and helpful.

  • Great for counters
Size: 15.8" x 78" Color: 1.black
I absolutely love this stuff. I put it on my ugly 90s countertops and it has lasted 2 years, only now just showing nicks in a few places. Looks really nice! However, I HIGHLY recommend a plastic scraper tool to press it down as you roll it out. Once it’s stuck… it’s stuck. Also an exacto blade or box cutter. It’s smooth and easy to clean. I was worried it might come up if wet but nope! I accidentally sprayed it with bleach a few times and you can’t tell at all. Worth the money. If you put this on the wall, just know you’ll probably pull the paint or drywall surface off when you try to remove it. ... show more
